So glad they found Todd. Geoff had taken the band much too far in a different direction and I'd given up on them. Now 11 years into this with Todd and 4 albums that are very good, they're just as relevant to me as they've ever been. It's a shame it couldn't be worked out with Scott but they still sound excellent.

Eddie and Michael deserve to ride out their careers with class. Tate wasn't offering that and Todd showing up was quite the surprise nobody expected and breathed new life into the old songs and new. At this point the Beatles would have to have still be together in the year 2000 to match Mike and Eddies tenure. We should be grateful they are still Taking Hold of the Flame and Spreading the Disease.
Todd just continues to show his appreciation for the legacy ... KILLING IT.. Selfless. Go see him, he is this and more live. I LOVE that he brings himself to the family. Listen to the New stuff.... He KILLS IT! In my opinion.
I can't be 100% certain, but I think the clown next to the camera trying to sing screwed this recording in several spots. I noticed he did really well on Queen of the Reich and I didn't hear anyone singing along nearby.
I have to laugh at all of the 50 something nostalgia obsessed dad rock fans calling this lineup a “cover band”. Uhh, did you forget the stream of mediocre shit they put out from 1997 to 2011 vs their past four albums? This is Queensrÿche, and if your nostalgia fetish is blinding you to that, you’re too old to appreciate music. They’re not obligated to do a reunion of the original lineup to make you feel young again just because you’ve formed parasocial relationships with Tate and Degarmo. Open your minds
saw them twice last fall and seeing them again in June but only because The Iron Maidens are opening. I told myself I was going to pass on this tour because Im just kind of tired of them .I do like the really old stuff they are playing though but without Geoff Tate none of it would be possible
Geoff's one of my fave Rock singers but on has to accept the fact he can't hit most of the higher notes now ,I've searched al the videos hoping he could. Sure he has that rich tone still but Todd is the man now for QR.
@@batphink2655 i dunno...ive seen Geoff twice in the last 12 months and hes killing it...may not be able to git the very high notes but hes hitting some pretty high ones and he just has so much more feeling and emotion in his voice
I’d say the same. But, tate can’t sing like this anymore. He’d rather dress like a pimp and have strippers on stage and make crap music. Huge fan of tate but I’d rather see a lineup that can properly play the classic material
Too much reverb/delay. I saw them at the House of Blues in Anaheim California couple of months back and I made the same comment, lots of echo. 2/5 of the original lineup... Didn't like the setlist but I get it, they got to try to promote Todd and this version of the band, even though everyone was there to hear the Queenryche songs from the first four albums and the EP. If you want to get the entire Queensryche experience, go see Geoff Tate, he's still got it and his band is phenomenal!
Not as much as Geoff's clown band all strutting around the stage competing for the spotlight, being the only original .Now THAT's a cover band my man! I swear watching Geoff's guys one day they're going to collide on stage lol!
I really can not understand why these guys called themselves Queensryche. DeGarmo is out Rockenfield is out Tate is out It's just Wilton and Jackson and a guy who copies Tate. That's mediocre. What a shame to spoil the name of the band like this.
Theres only one singer for this band, and for me its Geoff Tate...sorry dont wanna hurt nobodys feelings, and i understand stuff happens in bands...kinda like any other job, but if your paying your hard earned money to go see them and you dont know Geoff is not gonna be there fronting the band, you gonna be wondering would you have shelled out the bucks to go or not, if you knew before hand....
Who in their right mind would pay their hard earned money to hear this and this was just recent too. Sad to hear this guy still even try to sing. Its almost at the level of embarrassment. Geoff Taint ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2umUGCxgHTM.html
I was never a fan of the band, but with Todd I am. Todd is a better singer. He has a more powerful voice and a great range. He's released 4 solid albums to his credit and does an incredible rendition of the old classics. So for me Todd's voice is the element that draws me to Queensryche.
Additionally, TODD is great especially SOLO…but like any other band that replaces original singer… never the same..NEVER; Journey, Priest, Maiden and Crue back in day….can’t replicate
