So we are dying to know...how much would it cost for a similar brekkie where YOU live? Would love it if you could comment below and let us know! x 🥰🍳🤑

65 NZD is roughly 40 euro, so 20 euro a person. In Belgium a full-on luxury breakfast like yours would set you back around 12 to 15 euro I think. But in a context similar to Queenstown - posh, many foreign people with lots of money, I spontaneously think of Courchevel in France - I would expect to pay a very similar amount.

Another great yarn. You make us all feel like fellow travellers. Queenstown really is priced for tourists with eating out, but I guess they are busy this year with no one being able to really go abroad. :)

Glad you liked it Anna, yes, it certainly is more pricey than New Plymouth but the view made up for it (just wish Brian hadn't eaten all mine...😂)

The food prices were quite a shock compared to Princeton New Jersey. However, it has been quite awhile since I was in New Zealand. My favorite place was Stewart Island.

Yes...it was quite a pricey breakfast. I think a lot of it comes down to the view and the location. 🥰thanks so much for watching! PS: I would love to know if you don't mind sharing? How much would you pay for something similar in New Jersey?
@vincentnichnadowicz4837
@vincentnichnadowicz4837 3 года назад
@@ItsaDrama Well Princeton is a rather pricey place but the prices would be: Eggs Benedict ($12.95), French Toast ($10.95), Cappuccino ($3.95), and Tea ($2.95). Total: $37.70 plus 6.75% tax $2.54 and 15% gratuity $5.66 for a grand total of $45.90 That would be for a sit down meal and not the usual thing people would do here. I spent quite a lot of time in New Zealand years ago when the best restaurant in Auckland was named Iguacu in Parnell and the cost was never more than $45.00 for a three course dinner. I guess times have changed. This was certainly before the NZ housing boom.

Queenstown is notoriously expensive and it’s one of the main things that puts me off visiting Queenstown. However, it is just so beautiful and hard to resist. (You have to just tell yourself you are on holiday and not dwell on it).

I haven't been to Queenstown for 30 years so I was really excited to see this video. The price of that breaky is pretty standard in other places in NZ and places around WA, Australia depending on how flash the cafe is. Its always a 10k plus holiday for us when we return to NZ - accommodation and food is the biggest expense. Im so inspired to spend time in Queenstown when we return after seeing this! So.... now that the dog house biz has ended.... what now? Id love to know the plans and ideas your throwing around. Cant wait to see more of your holiday in the next video 😊

Queenstown is great...to visit,you couldn't pay me to live there,it's a bloody nightmare when its constantly full of tourists. I lived in Cromwell around the time they started filling the Clyde Dam,I was commuting to Queenstown for work,I do like the dry climate with hot summers and stunning cold winters,the hoar frost look great.
@ItsaDrama
@ItsaDrama 3 года назад
Yes, that's a huge pull, the climate but to be honest I think it's best to visit this beautiful place rather than live there. Brian and I both grew up in Newquay in Cornwall which a tourist town in England and in the summer you couldn't move for tourists. It was a great place to be as a teenager but when you had to do grown-up stuff like work and go to the supermarket it became annoying. Ok then...holidays it is then 😁

I went to Queenstown for a 3 month stint at the local newspaper before going to England. I first thought it was amazing but found it too high energy for living there.

Maybe the difference is not as many tourists. Ive been there in Summer and the walks are filled with tourists...the views are marred by people incessantly talking, talking selfies and just really annoying you LOL. I wish I was there now and travelling NZ...I bet it is at its best right now.
