I actually just had a crossc ountry flight, and when I turned off boundary and had a background, I could play without issue. If I used in passthrough the wondow would fly randomly. So if this makes this even MORE usable, This is awesome!
wow, that’s crazy. I haven’t flown since I bought my quest three but I just automatically assumed it would work the way it’s supposed to without this update.
Can someone explain to me *why* I can't use pass-through unless I have the guardian enabled? I don't need the guardian in the two spots I play (one for active and one for sitting down) so I just turn it off cause it immediately takes me out of the game when it appears. Why would it be mandatory?
BMFVR it’s actually really ironic. Right after I got the Quest 3 I went on a plane trip, and recorded with the intention of putting a video out on it. 2-3 months later someone says something about it and it blows my mind up. Ah to be a slow 🐀 😂
The way the normal tracking works causes it to fail when in a moving vehicle. So it needs a special mode to change how the tracking works when travelling. The special tracking method is not as good for regular use, so it makes sense to not use it by default.
@@deadli-usI would recommend searching it up. Boz’s Q&A answered this. It has to do with tracking frequency. And the reason would be something along the lines of a significant drop in tracking quality.
@@VRRat Okay, thank you. If that’s the case then a setting makes sense but ideally it should be able to detect when it needs to change and do it itself.
@@deadli-us I think that’s a cool idea. To detect when it might be appropriate to switch, like a pop up. But it could be annoying if it can’t detect it that well, and seemly randomly pops up. Vr does get kind of hectic. If it switched automatically it could interfere with game play, preformance or tracking quality. I’m not sure if it wouldn’t be a instant seemless transition.
Not sure, how "good" it will be in economic flight. The seat infront of you is soo close when the person bend it. In the video above, the dude is in business class which space. Regardless, it's good to have this option. Hopefully for train, travel bus too
Ummmmmmm when entering an airplane they tell you to shut your phones or any electronics you may have off during flight, I doubt anyone is allowed to use their headsets while on a plane.
@@lucakassab4745 they switched my flights without telling me. Then gave me the run around for 2 days past when I was supposed to leave Germany. Then gave me crappier times and seats. Blamed a bunch of it on United, and said there was nothing they could do. They ended up changing my stuff 3 times! And every person I talked to was extremely rude and several hung up on me. I spent a total of 10 hours on the phone with them over 2 days. Insane! One of my flights was re-booked for a train ride to the airport. They even double booked my flights out of Chicago and told me I actually had no choice to take the later flight (a 9 hour difference)! I just ended up talking to a very nice United rep once I landed and got through customs. She said I absolutely could keep the earlier flight and even upgraded me to 1st class for all the trouble they caused. At least United has always been good to me.
