My daughter had a trach placed in November 7mm she was able to speak over it even with cuff up. Now she has a 6mm and speaks clearly over this one even with cuff fully inflated ❤

I have a question about why would you have to put a speaking valve on a Trach Tube if you can inflate a Tracheostomy Tube Cuff what is the difference between Inflating a Trachestomy Tube Cuff and putting on a Speaking Valve?
