Can you guess if these fighting game combos are going to kill?
"Will it Kill?" is a show about funny fighting game clips, throwing rocks, betting fake points, watching anime, Elden Ring, and admiring Spider-Man from afar. We'll show a fighting game clip and pause it on one of the hits of a combo. You have to vote on whether the combo will kill or not. There are no drops, Time-outs don't count, and we try to get as close to optimal as possible. New challenge: Real Gs get their bet in before the timer is up so they don't get swayed or tipped off by the live chat's odds.

The trouble is, getting tossed into deep water doesn't kill you in that game. They'd get teleported back to land after taking a chunk of damage. So it doesn't really work for "Will It Kill?" They'd have to change the question to "Will it reach the water?" which is less compelling. Still a very funny clip though, that alley-oop chain grab was pretty good.

30:00 you kinda guessed it yourself, but Josuke's Stand "Crazy Diamond" has the abillity to heal everyone in close range except for Josuke. What he's doing here is fully fixing the opponent's wounds before going all out and beating him up again. It's honestly really sick.

its not quite healing, more like "reverting to a state prior to being damaged" but yeah. And he's gotta touch 'em too, not like an AOE effect he can toggle like an RPG 🤓

It's a reference to something he does in his story. One of the enemy stand users turns out to be this dude bed ridden from injuries. Said enemy appeals to Josuke's good nature by claiming that he wouldn't beat up some bed ridden dude....and Josuke agrees, so he heals him first.

fun fact: Akuma's demon in sf6 has specific voice lines for when it's going to kill. He says "ascend to heaven, reach the sun, become the demon"

Josuke's stand is fucking sick cause it's just a way to have Star Platinum again but allow for more creativity for fights. Josuke being able to heal means he can do wild shit like ignore hostage situations by punching through the hostage, punch the bad guy in the face, then pull out and heal the hostage. The healing applies to inanimate objects too, if a wall is destroyed, Josuke can heal the wall and rearrange it into something else. It's so cool. Part 3 does have Jotaro get more creative in fights later on. Particularly once he gets to Egypt and runs into Stand Users who don't give a fuck that his stand is level 99.

josuke deserved another part as a character; I would kill to see what an adult josuke could do after he turned his short range attack stand into poor man’s moody blues/sex pistols. Him pushing the boundaries of what he can “fix” in a way that can kill Kira and protect hayato is fire

It's a hot take because part 3 is so iconic and popular but it really can be a slog and sort of just a boring star platinum stat check for a lot of it. Most of the best parts of it are from other characters besides Jotaro even. I feel like all the parts after that either hit really hard for you or are at least interesting in how they do stuff. I think one of the hardest parts for Stardust Crusaders is just that it comes after part 2 in general because when I knew nothing about JoJo at all and started at part 1 it was neat and like okay, then part 2 was just that distilled and made way better with its pacing and creativity. Then part 3 comes out and at the time it was like sort of advancing the standard of the time from when it originally was published in the manga but damn its suffering from success. It's like going back and playing Chrono Trigger and saying that it's derivative because everything after was influenced by it. TLDR: Part 3 is overrated critically because of what it is and was culturally

Glad you liked the combo. That jab is the only move he has that allows him to combo into cyrax's net (as the net is extremely slow on startup). Funny enough it was very close to not killing. The opponent had 521 health and the combo did 521.03 damage.

It really is unfortunate that Sajam dropped Jojo Part 3 at the point he did because while is he right that a lot of Jotaro's fights get solved by Star Platinum just being built different, it's only after in the Egypt Arc that Jotaro's fights start getting interesting instead of just diffing other stands. Cuz if liked Josuke's super, buy is there a lot of cool stuff in Part 4 and beyond.

Part 3 is a very polarising chapter in the community due to the long pacing and the villain-of-the-week episode structure. The appeal of the 1st half is experiencing all the different cultures in the east, but it can get very formulaic. I actually skipped to the mansion in Egypt episodes after the 1st half during my first watch. The nice thing though is that every main character gets a spotlight episode after the boat episode, so Jotaro isn't always hogging the glory. I'd say things get more creative (and funnier) during the 2nd half. With the D'arby episodes and the finale being a big highlight of the part. I hope he does get to Part 4 though. It's my favorite JoJo part outside of Steel Ball Run (Part 7).

About Idol Showdown characters getting to try fighting games, Botan's SF6 tournament runs are kinda special if you know her general sense and attitude of a calm and relaxed pro gamer who's generally unflappable. The journey she had in SF6 genuinely made me tear up.

The Beatrix nerfs actually weren't that bad, she's still strong. She got her damage toned down a bit and had her 22M (aka Stroke the Big Tree) go from plus on block to safe, and a couple of less important nerfs (22U went from safe to barely punishable on block, 22H got slightly more punishable than it already was). Mostly it means 22M no longer starts/extends pressure for her; everything else she does is basically the same.

This episode simultaneously felt subdued after the show's long absence, and at peak-comfy Will It Kill with great combos all around. While I encourage Sajam to return to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure eventually, yeah, Jotaro has many of the worst fights because his power is a stat check and monster-of-the-week is all Araki could come up with here. The surrealism of the ape fight helps people through it, but if that drove Sajam off, I'm afraid the worst is yet to come - and the best, because Jotaro eventually has one of the all-time greatest JoJo fights. Part 3 has rotating good and bad fights that show Part 2 qualities in spurts before Part 4 locks them in.

Josuke's super is super messed up if you use it on Johnny. Johnny is paralyzed from the waist down so if you use Josuke's super on him, you heal him so that he can walk again only to immediately re-paralyze him.

P.S if youre wondering why akuma wins (in th clip with ken) it is because if the life is truly equal and is 1 hp, then the percentage life akuma has is> than that of ken, i.e akumas percentage health is 1/9000 * 100 = 0.0111111 percent , ken = 1/10000 * 100 = 0.01 percent. 0.011> 0.01 hence akuma wins

just so everyone knows londrekia is probably the strongest or second strongest character in undernight 2. his damage and conversion ability is very strong. not to mention undernight 2 has higher damage and IW can easily just melt life away in this version.
