Agree with the comment regarding sensors. Living in a snowy area where slush builds up it is pretty common in winter to loose a lot of the front end tech as slush builds. Even cruise can be affected.
I can confirm this. It usually happens a few times per winter when you get that wet snow/slush that builds up on the front of the vehicle. Sets off the lights on the dash and disables some of those features.
I'll solve everyone's need for parking sensors. Simply always back into a parking stall, then you can use your back up camera and mirrors. It also eliminates risk of backing out of a stall because when you back in you are blocking oncoming traffic with your vehicle.

3...2.......1. Lexus NX350H. I have owned them all, and while it won't fit a hockey team, its the best luxury SUV I have owned. Anything H from Lexus is just fantastic for saving a few bucks in fuel. The major issue with trax i have is that its got a wet timing belt - which is probably going to need servicing every 40K. Considering its not easy to get into, it can get expensive if you're not doing it yourself (which most people won't).
Honda doesn’t offer wireless CarPlay on base models either. Usually you need to go up a couple trims. They also still use tiny 7” screens. Even in the updated Civic. It’s not a good look.
The interesting thing about the Rav4 hybrid is it has front and rear electric drive motors the gas engine drives a generator. An easy conversion to a BEV at the production line , just eliminate the gas motor system and add batteries!
The engine can also power the front wheels. The vehicle is moved by the engine and/or MG2 and MG3 (in the rear axle). MG1 acts as a starter motor and is used to generate electricity to charge the battery. MG1 is also used to vary the ratios in the eCVT.
About the reason for having front parking sensors even though we have eyes, it's because depth perception are not the same for all humans. Some people have depth perception issue but not to the point of being considered an illness, they can still drive but will measure distance with tricks, i.e looking at certain things likes bumper, etc. Those tricks might not work in parking, depending on the parking location. Also, there are depth perception illness that prohibited people from driving. Hence, having more sensors are fine, maybe at some points it will be good enough to enable people with depth perception illness to drive.
When I wanted my Tacoma, the dealer didn't have any so they did a "trade" with another dealer to take an order for the right truck that dealer had. Not sure what they had to give up to get that dealers order but I did get my truck.
My 2022 top-of-the-line lariat Maverick didn't come with wireless apple/android Car-Play (thanks Ford), so I purchased an aftermarket wireless dongle-works great.
Andrea. I have a small box from Amazon that gives me wireless android auto. It's only about $45 $50. Sure it stays in the car but at least it's makes the unit wireless. Zack knows what's it is

Here in America, the 2024 Club (which is the trim you can option with the Recaro/BBS/Brembo package) and GT come with wireless CarPlay (no wireless Android Auto unfortunately)
My 2012 Volt had front and rear ultra-sonic sensors and a backup camera. The sensors used the speakers to indicate which corner or end was getting too close to something. Simple, worked in all weather (Ontario). My 2023 Model 3 had none (camera system was to replace the ultra-sonic sensors but then the car as delivered did not have the software to run them). Stupid. Still trying to get a plug in Prius XSE- 11 months and counting. The dealer has NO idea if the car will EVER come (talked to them today).
I wld prefer a new cheap vehicle over a premium used vehicle for 1: don’t know how the original owner took care of their car and 2: It’s new with fresh tech and a fresh warranty.

It wasn’t a known issue until it hit the first extreme cold snap. How were they supposed to predict something that was never an issue on ANY car before?

Subaru probably can’t make the front sensors work. So happy to leave Subaru behind. Got tired of eyesight slamming on the brake in underpasses, tall pines and mystery shadows.
TPMS should be standard on both sides of the border, Canada doesn’t think it’s a safety feature to know if you are driving with low tire pressure!!! Canada is SO wrong !!!
Why buy a plug-In vehicle >> If you have to go through the trouble of having to plug 😊it IN you might as well just get a fully electric vehicle which is a better experience all around. Otherwise I say go Pure HYBRID!!!! >
You are incorrect about the Honda hybrid system. The engine shuts off when the system determines it can run on battery only. The Honda system is superior to the Toyota system in all ways other than fuel economy. (I own 2 of the new Honda hybrids and I have driven a '25 Camry for a week as a comparison.)
6:10 I don’t understand why you never mention the ford escape hybrid or the lightning in your comments. I have in my lifetime purchased 40 plus vehicles. I have had a 2020 limited hybrid RAV4. Mechanically it worked fine but the paint was terrible. Easily scratched so I traded for a 2022 ford escape hybrid sel all wheel drive which I loved. It got better fuel economy than the RAV4 I had. Now I have a 2024 Ford Ranger Lariat and just love it. Love your channel but you push Toyota way too much. I probably would have bought another Toyota but the dealers in the maritimes push add ons like putting all kinds of accessories on and won’t remove them because they are money makers for them. With all the issues Toyota are having now I won’t be buying one any time soon.
