at 32:31 Steve goes into a charity shop to find some "old records, and things" and pulls out a copy of Bitter Heart by Seona Dancing! That's Ricky's old band from the '80s! Very clever touch there.
@@ayyjsanders9319 How do you manage to be in a tent in switzerland while cycling round europe? all of those things literally explain themself... get a tent and a bike?
I’m not afraid to admit I resonate with Karl deeply. As simple as he seems, he carries so much wisdom and is worth hearing out. Whether you see it as his wisdom or what you gain, there are many insights to be found.
The animation enhances the comedy by a factor of at least 100. The part with the Chav worms having teeth was possibly the biggest load of pish I've ever heard.
These animations are from a show compiled from the old podcasts....i can't tell if you all are serious about not know where these came from....it was on hbo in the states. This was created by Steve and ricky with karl in the mix. And yes of course ricky is a genius as are karl and steve btw
@@passmybongback so first off erm is not a word I hope you are younger than 35. Second the podcasts often repeated xmf material.....the animated show was created based on the success of the podcasts. The podcasts are what got them the exposure to lock down the animated show funding. I listened to the radio show while it happened in the early 2000s. Then I got every podcast when they were available. Third and most importantly your comment disputing me was actually just incorrectly rephrasing what I said
That ending was oddly touching, with the music playing as they reminisced about times of old together in their little home together. Such a beautiful story of family and friendship
@@IAmRedherrings I think the why, is Ricky. Because, Karl and Steve met up. But, initially Ricky and Steve we're pals. Then Ricky latched onto Karl as his new best pal. Ricky organized the shows together. So, it looks like Ricky dropped them.
@@elleeme9451 Absolute fucking waffle. They all just moved on, it has been spoken about muuuuulitple times, google it. This was over 13 years ago. Keep your speculation to yourself you mong.
4:16:17 is actually very valid from karl, my body shows stress before i can even think it sometimes, chest pains tight chest etc and my mind feels pretty ok, he isn’t all that stupid
I used to LOVE this show. Bonded and resonated w Karl’s northern simplicity so heavily🤣 I remember never being able to take my eyes off Stephen’s neck animation, dunnit look like a middle finger?? lmao
2:37:15 I've only just noticed, when Karl says "Top brass. I overheard someone say that?" It was actually Steve a couple of episodes earlier when they were discussing Karl's brother being in the army. He says it right at the end of the segment 🍊
1:49:07 one the times I’m 100% on Ricky and Steve’s side. There are days where I’ve come home from work after a long day and my partner expects me to cook or cook with them even though they had the day off. I don’t want to come home from work to do more work.
Karl is right though, Medical science is often motivated with what has the best return on investment, not what can heal the most people or cure the most.
I talked to a guy in the comments section on youtube who lived next to Karls parents in Wales. He said that Karls dad acts just like Karl except hes an old man.He told some funny stories about Karl when he was younger
@@rbeck3200tb40 should've asked Karl's dad how he sleeps at night after stealing from elderly people (and by extension the local shopkeeper) on a regular basis. What a crook.
Karl’s story about Germany is sort of right. A lot of my friends served and Germans will fight with soldiers from America at bars to prove their toughness
1:18:10 Karl made a good point, even though he disagreed with what the scientists were trying to achieve, he still understands that it’s taken a lot of hard work to create the project and it would be ignorant of him to just to stop it because he don’t like it. Sometimes I think Karl is actually very clued up but he just doesn’t articulate himself correctly because that’s most likely how he is, which makes most of what he says comical or profound with no in between really.
I've heard these a million times by now, but Harry the soliders story ALWAYS gets me 😆 Ricky - "Harry carried you over the threshold an whispered sweet nothings in your ear" Karl - "No he wasn't like that. He just said Get your Nickers off!" I can be on the brink of falling asleep and it has still made me laugh lol
I'm still working on it but at this point I can tell you Karl's IQ is either staggeringly low or staggeringly high. There's no way he's in the normal range.
IQ is a cumulative score of several different types of intelligence. In Karl's case, I think he probably has an average IQ on account of some forms of intelligence (reading and comprehension) being staggeringly low while others (lateral thinking, abstract reasoning) are staggeringly high.
I haven't fact checked this information but another person commented that Karl took an IQ test on a different program and scored an 83... I haven't seen it personally but I can certainly see it being the truth.
I can relate with Karl a lot:') I tried some things as him. Like watching insects, thinking about strange things and try out weird things what you never think of or embarassed to talk about. I think we would be good friends with Karl
I love how Karl and probably a lot of other people like him (imagine that frightening reality) where when Karl says "it doesn't matter" to the illogical bits of his movie, that to him and them, it actually doesn't matter. 😄
I like the pocket tie idea. It's great for small things like change, or dime bags filled with... whatever substance you prefer in your dime bag. Or a balloon, whatever your.. "substance supplier" gives you I guess.
@@simonmitchell60yeah right, and Amy Schumer never stole jokes from Dave Attel and others. And epstein hung himself while on suicide watch while the cameras were off and the guards were having a snooze... 😆
2:42:04 Funny thing is that Karl is essentially correct. Although it wasn’t a knee injury, King Tut most likely died from falling off a battle chariot and breaking his pelvis and his legs, at least according to a CT scan taken after years of people thinking his was murdered by someone clubbing him in the skull. The resulting infection finished him off like a week later. He died young.
I don't know how Ricky and Stephen aren't getting Karl's point about Italians more lenient nature. Guess Brits aren't much diff than us rushy Americans.
