Need a better quetzal? Well this Ark tutorial video will give a way to do that. The Quetzal trap. It is by far the easiest and fastest way to upgrade your quetzal. This Ark video will also show you what is needed when you tame a quetzal. I hope you enjoy!

Got my first low level quetz the other day and what do I find today? Level 138 Tek quetz. This trap worked like a charm :)

@@LemursCorner Seemed fine to me, the structure cap meant I had to leave gaps in the ceiling but it was just enough. Playing on official PvE btw.

The easiest way to tame them is to lead them to the ground using honey and then place dinosaur gates on them.

I forgot about honey, but even still with the trap you don't have to compete with other dinos attracting to the honey.

Not sure this works anymore, it just flies streight thru, no collision or anything, just glides thru the trap as if it wasent there.

Nevermind, when its in there and you dismount its trapped and cant escape, wierd but it worked, excellent trick.

Just tame up a low level quetz using a tapejar front seat with attack target whistles and move here and get a platform saddle and then u can easy tame a good level quetz

Find a low level that can be knocked out easily then kill baby rexes, spinos, gigas, or anything like a therizino then pump stamina

This has been nerfed sadly. Structure limit and if you unmount and something lands on the quetzal like the unconscious quetz, your quetzal will try to land.

The problem with this trap is the limit of structures in the Quetzal saddle that prevents it from being completed.

I found a level 96 quetz on the island. Cosidering how rare they are and how the game spawns them in at lower levels, I needed a safe way to tame one. Thanks for this guide, should work without the super structures right?

@@Loona526 there's this cliff kind of area idk what it's called where if you position yourself on one close to the quetzal you can throw honey down. The quetzal will try and eat the honey, which leaves you time to build a gateway trap. Hope this helps

@@Loona526 probably valguero, it's the prettiest map. Also I love deinonychus, they can shred bosses, and I love how you can only get fire/ice wyverns, it's better than just using poison/lightning/crystal all the time. Finally it combines features from the Island, Ragnarok, scorched and ab.

thats the whole point of the trap. you can tame a very low level quetz, then pump stamina on it and youre ready to go

@@andrejhofer2007 I Understand That. But Most People Want Quetz At Lower Levels And To Tame A Quetzal You Might Not Have The Stuff To Do It, So Itd Be Better To Trap A Quetz Then Tame It Later when You Have The Stuff Instead Of Wasting 2x The Materials
