Getting taken down is probably a bad thing, most of the time. Avoid it by drilling these techniques!
You may have noticed one of the defenses puts me on the ground, on purpose. If you're going down anyways, take their initiative, surprise them, and win the scramble to top position!
The single leg takedown is one of the most fundamental takedowns in wrestling and MMA (and all of fighting) for good reason. It's relatively simple, yet highly effective. If you're not sure how to defend it against a skilled fighter, then you're going down on their terms. Instead, it's important to regularly practice defending getting taken down, so you're not on the ground - unless you went to the ground on purpose!
