On important thing is that you pull it enough to make it flatter before attaching the yarn that pulls it. Also, if yarn is too fine, it doesn't create the effect of higher and lower rows of crochet. But without seeing it is hard to say where exactly the problem is.

A pumpkin is round and so is an apple. Don't get hung up on if the shape is a tiny bit different. No one will notice that. It will still be beautiful.❤

I’m only half way through the video but it looks like she is making each single crochet into the BACK loop. That created the ridges. If you look straight down at the work from the top you will see the stitch creates a V shape. Place your hook into the back part of the V not the entire stitch. Hope this helps ❤️

Sometimes when I’m not sure or learning a new stitch, I slow down the playback speed in settings. That way, I can see the stitch work more clearly until I understand it.

Yes, always the back loop of single crochet, that creates ribbing.

ohmygosh!! Your the best!! I went looking for stuffing and its just so pricey for small and larg bunches. The inexpensive pillows was a great idea. May have to use some old meaningless stuffed animals too
