Wow, the school year flew by, I can't believe they are done already. I know they will have a fun summer though, with pool time, jumping on the trampoline, swinging and bon fires, you always make sure they are having fun. I always enjoy your lunch video's and watching the kid bring home their empties and how fun is it to watch Emily offer to empty their lunches as well, so if you have time to do a quick video that would be great but don't stress over it if you are too busy. We had little Mackenzie's birthday party on Saturday, it was a huge success, great food, lots of fun with the guests and the gifts were fun as well. Mackenzie did pretty well, not too fussy until after she had her smash cake, she was loving it and never having had processed sugar before my daughter finally had to stop her because she was just shoving it in her mouth. I bought her a little balance bike (no pedals) and she loves it, they have them at school so she knew right what to do with it. We are getting ready for a trip across country, driving about 2000 mile to Arkansas to surprise my mother in law for her 85th birthday, we will be gone about 11 days, hoping to go to Graceland (Elvis' home) in Memphis, and also on our way home we are planning to stop in Arizona at the Grand Canyon, we are pretty excited about the trip. If I'm not on for a bit, don't worry, I'll catch up as I'm not sure if I'm bringing my computer with me. Thanks for sharing the week with us, enjoy the beautiful weather.

After 17 years of living in my tiny townhouse condo, I finally broke down and got central Ac last year. Portable wasn’t cutting it anymore. Summers in Edmonton are just getting hotter and smokier due to drought and fires (this year has been an exception and I’m not complaining). Best money I’ve ever spent on my house. 40 degrees is crazy for Canada and it shouldn’t be this way.

Yay on surviving another school year! We’ve been out for over a month at this point. So my kids only have like 6 weeks till they go back. But I’m one of the moms that enjoys having them home for the summer! The heat has been awful! Where I live it gets very hot & humid during the summer….today it was about 95 but felt like 105 with heat index…. And it was so muggy!

I love your lunch videos. I have a high schooler in the USA and they get free breakfast and hot lunch so I don't pack anything for her except for a snack because she starts school at 6:45 am and does not get home until 5 pm because she takes NJROTC and after school on Monday, Wednesday and Friday they have air rifle and on Tuesday and Thursday she has drill team so she works up a hunger. Her teacher Sargent majors stocks protein bars and water.

Strange question, lol. Where was Ben going on his field trip? You don't have to say the exact place for privacy but I live in America and just curious the kinds of places they go to for field trips in Canada.
