These guys are really great. And here is what really matters... I ordered in the past, happy smooth transaction.... But my recent order got goofed up.. I think it is the xmas rush has them busy as heck. They accidentally sent me another fellas order... Big problem is I needed my order as a gift for this weekend, multiple gifts actually... Well with an email, they figured it out and got the right stuff to me quickly. My point is it really shows a good vendor when they go above and beyond to fix a mistake and do it fast with a pleasant attitude. I make a lot of my own tongs... But have been so happy with these for the price, quality and ease, it embarrassingly makes me lazy... Or maybe I'm just being efficient... GRIN Again THANKS!

What alloy do you like for your chisels?

Hi Ken, an excellent video! For a knife maker 6-7" Blade length, 10" total length, which box tongs would you recommend? The Quick, or the smaller Rapid size? The knife shank (handle) width will probably be an inch to an inch and a half.

Hi Eddie, Thank You. I think the rapid knife tongs would work best for a knife that size. For shipping I can ship 1 pair or up to 6 pair for the same price, maybe consider a few others for future projects.

Wish lignite was good for forging. I’m in North Dakota so that’s about the only cheap coal other than anthracite and I have a hand crank forge so anthracite isn’t real great for it

@@rustbeltmachine too expensive. I’ve been using anthracite for a few years and it works well with an electric blower.

From what I understand lignite is usable for a forge, it certainly isn't the best quality fuel but is more energy dense than charcoal, it will produce a lot of clinker which might be a problem if you like to weld but might still be worth the trouble if it is cheap enough.
