Hi Troy! My goodness! Some how you gotta get that hammer up and running brother! I personally balk at anything over 1/2" by hand in solid bar! unless I have access to a power hammer! Nice tongs! That had to take a couple of days at least by hand even with a striker....

I need to make a pair of Box jaw at some point myself. I have to many sizes of Flat bar for the 1 pair of tongs I have for flat stock.

Nice job Troy, I got a Question (this is the kind of stuff I think about. LOL) It seems the Anvil is the major tool for Forging. So how was the first Anvil made? As always I love the Biblical References.

@@shadetreeforge Troy lives near the area where it's made, and they use straight horizontal ridges rather than the typical slanted ridges. We have a bunch of it at the Goshen shop. Heck I might have given him that piece I don't know. LOL
