I saw where African protesters purposely crossed the street to protest where the royal guard and horse were in the arch box. Protesters want to be seen and they know they will be on photos the tourists are taking.
Exactly!! I have watched countless videos of the mounted guards, but keep one eye on the well-armed patrol. Seems they are more interested in talking and joking around amongst themselves rather than being vigilant about their surroundings. Just sayin'
When I first saw this utter stupidity I said I agree with the idea of trying to get people to live in reality and not online all the time. The protest place however was flawed and their stupidity to approach The Kings Guard with all purple and big banners was not thought through at all. I could see the Guard immediately going into protection mode..they are certainly highly trained..his Horse could easily have been spooked by these idiots..
And this is another reason why the public should be banned from going near the guards. How dare they think that posing in front of the guards will enhance their protest. In my opinion this is a terrorist act, therefore the armed police should have stepped in. I am amazed at the fact that the guards have to constantly protect themselves from the crazy crowds and yet nothing is done about it. If an employee at MacDonald gets treated this way, they get all sorts of compensation on the ground of safety in the work place and how they don’t have to put up with abusive customers.

When it comes to any sort of demonstrators like this, the senior police officer who would rather do nothing, then something it is not the lower ranks of police, but the senior offices this happens all over the UK

Why do i get the feeling the armed police were not notified up to 24 hours or a week that protesters were going to be in the area like they normally do when there are protestors. Seems to me the leader of that group of protesters did not inform anyone. So..... essentially, this is not the guards nor police's fault.

True what they say you can't teach stupid. All those horrible bystanders, just watching the whole thing like it’s an interesting show for their entertainment instead of going up to those 🤡 purple frog men and intervening and telling them to move away. Blood boiling all round on this one, except for the beautiful horse and his wonderful rider.

OMG! I just can't believe what I've seen. HOW TOTALLY ABSURD AND RIDICULOUS to think that those stupid purple protesters thought they could get away with a stunt like that. Indeed, trying to frighten the horse? When in actual fact they were terrified because the trooper shouted at them and they shot off at speed. I think they splattered themselves allover the pavement like blueberries 🤣🤣🤣 Anyway, i do hope the horse was not too fazed and able to settle after that debacle. BTW, where were the police when this was happening? Surely they should have taken control of the situation?

@@siras2 sadly - exactly. between being American and a horse person - it makes me so sick to watch how bloody STUPID all the tourists/passerby's are. I know stateside, if an animal is wearing a "service animal" vest - ya better pray to whatever you don't believe in if you try to touch the animal. I think I should a woman once because she was telling it was okay to pet her dog, that he wasn't working (we were at a local Native Pow Wow) but I just kept refusing. I'm not about to risk. being the cause someone gets seriously hurt just because I wanted to pet a working animal. I do wonder of Charles will put some harder guidelines in place for the soldiers? I recall hearing he is very pro-environment and animal safety...?
