Your salad looks good. I would added onion and garlic. That's one wicked looking big knife! Could also be used as a weapon to defend yourself. Thank you for the video. Blessings to you.
Yes, that particular feta is very tasty, a Greek lady said if you find the Feta too salty, tip out the brine it comes in and replace it with plain water.
Thanks for the tip about the paring knife in a previous video, went bought myself a paring knife and a tomato knife by Victorinox (Swiss Army knife manufacturer) and they are brilliant
Scott u have some knife skills the salad looked delicious. Funny about peeler I moved.about 3 years ago and most of my kitchen box is in Mom's garage. And I still have not bought one. Thanks and stay cool ❤🍽️🎶
The salad looks delicious. I love salads, I make my own salad dressing. I use 1/2 tbsp. Olive oil, 1 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, 1/4 teaspoons of salt and black pepper ❤
Everything in your salad is perfect! Sometimes, I use goat cheese for feta but they make the salad. Black pepper is a must. Can’t eat the salad without it. Refreshing🥗
you have shown over time that you can cook really well. i like to cook but i like to eat too. so we can then say that i am a novice cook but a professional eater?
Hi Scott, first I must tell you I’m Armenian. That salad you made is very similar to a Middle Eastern dish called a shepherd salad. I must tell you I’ve been eating feta cheese my entire life. The very best feta cheese is French feta. I’m not sure if you can get it at Trader Joe’s but if you ever have the opportunity to buy French feta, please try it. You will absolutely love it.
Your salad looks delicious. I had a salad today as well, almost the same ingredients as yours except I used goat cheese. 😋 Take care and be well Scott.
Hello from Upstate NY! This is perfect timing of your "recipe" as it's getting warmer by the day. Yesterday was 90!! 😥I have been looking up other "recipes" for these hot days! Thank you!
You eat like I do, right down to keeping the skin on cucumber, and not liking the seeds. Which is why I often buy the seedless 'English' cucumbers. One of the other things I love doing is marinating some chicken in the fridge, tossing it on the grill, then chopping it up and putting it in the fridge or freezer so that I have a bunch to thaw and then toss into my salads. The other thing I like to do with my salads is add some balsamic vinegar along with the ACV to make a flavorful vinegrette. So many wonderful dishes you can make just by playing with the same ingredients different ways! Another thing I often do is get some good quality tuna and break that up into my salads too! Last year when Seattle started getting too warm was I headed out to Port Angeles and Sequim, which of course is how I met you that day. Stay cool my friend!
It’s been unusually cool in Sf Bay Area region, San Gregorio. The fog machine is on full blast, was sunny for 5 min today before the fog/ marine layer crept in again lol.
Hey Scott if you need to head somewhere cooler come on back the the Olympic Peninsula, Port Angeles to be exact. It's always cooler here than anywhere else. Unfortunately for me though I love the heat so I'm usually too cold here, lol😂
Hi Scott, I enjoy watching your programs, especially when you show the beautiful scenes of the forest, ocean and streams. With all of the summer events going on, have you thought about doing some content on some of them? Here in Oregon we have Graffiti events with classic cars this weekend in Roseburg, last weekend was an art festival, and in the spring Woodburn has a tulip festival and Portland has a Rose Festival. We also have the beautiful Duchess Sanctuary in Oakland that offers open houses in the spring and fall at a low cost where you can see beautiful horses that they have rescued and the wonderful areas that they get to live out their lives. There are also open air free musical festivals offered in various cities. Roseburg offers this at Stewart Park at the Half Shell on Tuesdays. Then there are many fairs coming up. It might be something to think about that you could share with your viewers in the future. I'm sure Washington State has many of these same activities. Blessings on your traveling adventures. Kathy
Generally, I try not have other people in my videos. There are some rules that keep us from recording people’s voices without their written permission. The same applies to music only more so. I’ve been trying to focus more on nature sounds and views. But thanks for the suggestion.
It’s hot and humid here as well in Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 and been raining all day. That salad looks delicious! You’re food preps are just one of the many things I enjoy in your videos 😊
Such a nice video! I’ve been really getting into this weather. I take 3-4 mile walks from about 5-8 PM a few times a week and it’s perfect weather by that time.
olives i have a spot in my yard that i wanted to put a olive tree. some say the weather is too extreme here for it to do well. so i put buying off one till i have found an olive tree that has pimentos
Am I correct in noticing that your appetite has improved? I seem to recall that you were going through a lack of appetite phase not too long ago. I think enjoying food plays a big role in general wellbeing. Salad looks yummy.
👋 Scott Yummy salad, feta is better 😅 Oh it's so hot here in Pennsylvania, I'm melting 🫠. So if you don't here from me, know that I totally melted. Hope you stay 😎 🆒️ See ya later😊 Bye-bye
Scott, Your salad is something I would make. I always have feta cheese and calamari olives in my kitchen. I have experimented with vinegars. Tarragon Vinegar and Pear Vinegar are two of my favorites. I enjoy seeing you grind your pepper and use of pink salt. The best part of your day sometimes is when evening brings the cooling down hours.
You can make your own pear vinegar. 1/4 cup sugar 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar for mother vinegar starter. Bartley pears cut up. Fill mason jar rest of way with filtered water. Cover all fruit with the liquid. Weight it down with saucer to keep the fruit submerged. Cover mason jar with coffee filter then a canning ring. Let it ferment for a month. Done!
🌿🌄🥗 warm weather and salads can be such the welcomed way of living only thing is that here, first weekend of December with rainy misting moments this video although seen a time or two yet for memory alone of warming weather... Oh so delightful. Salads, an anytime welcomed meal and especially here December, for makes for an easy way to get away from some of the extra holiday treats that can bog one down... 🥗🌄🌿
That not only looks very healthy, but looks delicious! Thanks for the idea. I as well do not have any ambition to fire up the stove in my van when it hot out, been around 90 the last several days here in Indiana.
