Picked up a 2006 Yamaha Royalstar Tour Deluxe which needed new front brake pads. Big Daddy and I just wanted to swap out the pads. It takes roughly a half hour to swap out the four front pads. Don't forget the other side of the wheel has brakes too if you're doing this job. Nice bike, I have a 2007 RTSD you guys are running the stock exhaust sounds like. I switched mine to a set of SharkRoad megaphone slip ons and the bike sounds awesome. It's nice and loud and sounds like a V8 muscle car. People are always complimenting the sound of min. They are great trip bikes and yes the motor runs forever with little to no drama. I have 80k on mine and she's running like a watch! I just finished a trip from Washington DC to Knoxville TN so I'm going to do my front brakes soon.

Hi @kman-mi7su, Your right. Need to both sides. Sounds like you have your bike set up just right. Yeah, we've had about 4 of these RSTD bikes. Everyone has been a great bike.

Me personally, if everything is working good, I'd save that for another maintenance service. It's a good question. You could ask a service shop also if they would recommend lubricating also. I can ser the pros and cons. We just did the shoes and everything worked great. Thanks for watching.

If I may ask what did you get your luggage rack from I've been searching forever and I have the same bike and also your driving lights

The front lights came on the bike when we bought it. I couldn't find a brand name on them. I bet they came from Amazon. Here's a link to a similar one that you could take a look at amzn.to/3NEKN6q The luggage rack has always come on the Royal stars we've bought in the past. I looked real quick and found a Wompus Rack that you might want to take and look at. Here's the link www.wompusracks.com/yamaha-rack.html One other option for a rack would be to call your local dealer and see if they can get one ordered. Might be a little more expensive but worth a call. Good luck hunting.
