I lost my prop and prop nut on my BJ42 this summer. Took a SUP board out, laying flat on it with a diving mask on, I was able to retrive both the prop and the nut😊
Love the Dominator, and your rig too 👍👍. I’m scheduled to run mine this coming weekend, time permitting. So just preparing the boat. I purchased pre owned from US. So just giving the boat a thorough inspection and tighten down. Heading off to a hobby shop to get some EC8’s put on the batteries and ask a few questions about wiring as Lipos as they spook me out badly. They’re in a LiPo safety bag at storage voltage outside from the house right now. So excited and itchy as to have ‘ my ‘ first dip in the pond with an electric fast boat 😝. Just love the way the dominator handles at speed and has very high speed potential. Lots of fun fun coming up. Also purchased an Oxi - drive as an upgrade which I will fit later. I want to feel out my new fast electric boat and then change a few bits here and there to really appreciate the upgrades on offer.
Man,… you can hear it in your voice, so discouraging and totally bummed out. I feel ya buddy. I’ve crashed many of planes that I spent hundreds. (Hundreds!) of hours on and gone into more pieces than I got with the original stick kit 😆. Bummed for a week then onto the next model. The good side is that nothing is broken. And as one of my modelling friends said: “ no babies died today”. Not to diminish the loss of the shaft, that’s a total Pia, But onward and upward my boat gang leader. Hope ya find it today or at least get a new one soon. All the best Big B!
Ive seen people with metal detectors checking areas where the boat partyers go. Sometimes they find rings, bracelets, coins. Im sure youve lost a lot of props in there.
Hey idk about u but servo extensions on a boat when i build something i open up the servo & solder on a new longer wire or shorten existing have u thought about that water seems to do all kinds of wacky crap even just having the wire connection out in the boat if it gets wet can mess with signal even on good radios
Hey Big B, afraid for your feet, broken bottles and such, I’d suggest a water proof metal detector but I’m sure in NC like up here in VA you have to be careful because public property is off limits to metal detecting due to the civil war memorial sites, and many public places being considered “land marks” federally protected. I’ve seen people arrested-handcuffed just for fishing in those public areas. Maybe small magnet on a rope or fishing pole ? Good luck.
Ya B thats a hard hit think my boy might give u a hand lookin for your prop but he went out for his bday other nite & blew his rear diff lol in his truck but he just built a lil aluminum boat for the 🤷♂️some thing in jax u have to build your boat & they sail or drift down some stream but think a set of goggles & lil boat probly 🤷♂️maybe you can catch a glimps of it man that boat did a # on u hows your hand doing
Watch it again dude! Corrosion x makes plastics hard and brittle! The jst wire sheath was compromised due to contact with Corrosion x. And why would you soak a motor in Corrosion x that doesn't make a lick of since if your soaking esc's in Corrosion x then you gotta know exactly what Corrosion x does to plastics.. or you will soon find out because Corrosion x will degrade plastic
Did you say that the plug-in malfunction was caused by corrosion x. That's interesting because people spray their circuitry boards on their receiver with corrosion x to keep the water corrosion off. You should just cut the plug wires solder the ends together shrink wrap and not worry about the corrosion anymore
I'm gonna try a cast net to get my 4519 back. Was thinking of magnets, treble hook and pole, dive mask.. but I think the net will work. I used to pull up all kinds of stuff looking for bait fish back in the day. Hope that helps! 🫡
