I just purchased a 74AH lev60 pro V2 jag35 battery for my car it was a toss up between the GV series 1 and what I got I was going to go with glowe voltage but the series 1 was out of stock so I went with jag35 but anyway I am wondering how much of a voltage fluctuation do you see with your audio system playing I'm trying to figure out if what I have is enough or do I need more AH'S and how is it running with the alternator reason I'm asking is because there are a lot of new distributor's selling devices that they claim are stock alternator safe and drop in ready like what I have and what you have but none of these batteries have been on the market long and nobody on here has done a review after an extended period of time to see if there are any problems that occur down the road from using these without something to limit or control the charging process I have been looking for months at videos searching online and a lot of people at least 85% of who I have talked to said that running lithium without some type of smart charging system and BMS will shorten battery life burn out the alternator and possibly damage the ECU charging system the only guys who say it's ok are car audio guys and I am a car audio guy myself that's why I purchased it but these guys also don't really know for sure I mean yeah I can drop my battery in and run it but the question is how long before it starts to damage itself and other electronics or alternator any advice would be greatly appreciated and how long have you been running this battery

A lot to process here! I will be sharing more results as I have them available, I have currently put all existing projects on hold as we renovate my shop. In short your alternator is a mechanical moving part, this part will fail eventually for one reason or another, it is an eletric motor effectivly that is being turned by a belt on a gas/diesl engine. I have no doubt that pushing these factory alternators into their limitations frequently to charge/create aditional current outside of their intended purpose will eventually aid in its premeture failure, if and when that happens is not enough for myself to worry about the benefits of using it to maintain a far more efficent battery chemistry, ask yourself this, would you rather risk your amps dipping into the low low 12's staying lead acid, or an alternator maintaining a battery that otherwise prevents that. I dont see a great deal of failure out there or information with cars frying their ECU's or having damaged eletrical system's outside of people who have really poor instalations or have not done their home work first!!! you gota pay to play my guy dont ever forget that part!!!

@@BadLabCustomz if that's all it is to worry about maybe having to replace a stock 150$ alternator I agree I would much much rather have the battery power I just don't know enough about it to just walk out there hook it up and be sure that it's going to work so I get on here and ask people like yourself that do know so I can learn I've been gone from car audio for over 10 years not willingly but when I left an extra lead acid battery was doing big things now everyone has massive lithium banks and I finally got the $ together and purchased the lithium and the ioxus ultra cap battery together for my first setup to play with but thank you for responding you wouldn't believe how many videos I've asked questions on and rarely get an answer so the learning is slow going

@@SlamryCamry19like I said, I’m not seeing really any evidence of these batteries causing damage. Of the chemistry types the lifep04 appears to be one of the safest when it comes to lithium, my fun car has been out in the carport for weeks now, I can monitor the battery performance via the app, I have a parasitic drain somewhere I have to find, no more then it would drain a 12v lead acid battery I start it up every 3/4 days and run it for a while and we’re back to 13.4+, no issues or problems identified as yet, I’ll be posting a lot more on this as I get back at it, I’ll also be putting the series 2 in another vehicle here soon stay tuned!!!
