Quick n' Dirty: Handling prepared stems files in VDJ2024 

I wish VDJ had a Create Symbolic Link or Create Hard Link option in the File Operations. That way you can sync music in a separate folder for other music players, for instance iTunes, and not have to duplicate the file size on your hard drive. Even better, is to have VDJ automatically create these links depending on a specific Sound Tag. Its impractical to copy your entire music library, just to get your favorite songs synced on your phone. Having a symbolic/hard link integration for files would help. For now, I use a sound tag named "#For Phone" and create a filtered playlist to aggregate everything with that tag. Then I export that playlist as an m3u. I then use that m3u playlist in MusicBee with the Sync Links plugin to create the hard links for the folder that will sync the files to my phone. This way I can sync a portion of my music library to my phone and not have to waste any more space on my hard drive.

Thank´s for another excellent video! Do you by any chance now how to get the "compatible songs" folder to automatically refresh? As I remember it did so before, based on the settings in historydelay, but now it isn´t. I have to switch folders and back to compatible songs. Appreciate your help!

Just came across your chanel and thanks for the information you are doing a great job. Is there a way to prep stem on one laptop which ia more poweeful for stems 2.0and play the prepped stems on another laptop which can't mange stems 2.0. Can the prepped stems be synced through onedrive cloud drive. Thanks in advance
