I've gotten a few questions about my rotation for Nex in my latest stream, and with a shiny new PR that I'm pretty happy about, I figured I'd put together a quick visual guide going over my rotation. It could still use some shaping up, but I'll be putting together a full 600 Nex Loot video & Voiceover guide on September 9th! This will be better off as the Death Skulls adjustment will have happened by then anyways.

On my current goal of obtaining 600 Nex KC, I figured I'd piece together a quick visual guide of my Nex rotation using Necromancy only. Clearheaded switch is optional, but highly recommended. Please note that this method is still in progress, this is just my best run to date, and this could change with the Death Skulls adjustment coming on Monday (although DS is only used in phase 1, so I believe it may be minimal).

not sure how much of a difference there is guide wise between t70 power armour with t80 or 90 weapons vs the first necromancer set.

Man, it's crazy how quickly you're able to convey so much information. This is the most detailed boss guide I've seen for rs3 in years and it's only 2 minutes long.

Most detailed boss guide?? After seeing this video, do you even understand the attacks of Nex towards you? 😂 hes inly showing what attacks to do. This is not a Nex guide. This is a ‘Watch me kill Nex quick using these abilities’ video.

This is great. I struggle with any boss that doesn't die after my inital rotation/burst of dmg. Or ones with lots of mechanics/phases like Nex

Yes impatient 4 is my best roll currently and haven’t farmed more comps for more attempts yet. Clearheaded extends anticipation by 1 second per rank, and with ch4 you get 14s anticipation which allows for avoiding drag when diving to Fumus at the end of p1, as well as avoid freezes when positioning during Glacies in p4

That does make a lot of sense, just a bit too much switcscape for me. I personally have failed imp4 dev4 like 15 times. GL@@RheyoRS

@@shankar19961Impatient 4 Devoted 4 is like a 5% chance so it makes sense for you to fail around 15 times since statistically speaking you might get one every 20 tries. It maths out cuz I only have 3 of those Gizmos with over 60 attempts

Damn those are some quick kills!! I assume this has to be done with T95 to get those speeds, how does T90 gear handle it? - PB for myself is 2:18, but I'm consistently getting around 2:35

Thanks dude 🙌🏼 I’m not sure if I’m being honest, I’m going to test some kills with T90 tank gear as I have that on hand and see the differences. Probably going to wait until after the death skulls change on Monday.

@@RheyoRS Yeah that seems fair - I'm deffo gonna try out this rotation for sure and see how it stacks up against what I'm doing currently, who knows, maybe I'll finally hit sub-2 minute kills :D

i think the conjure damage bonus of the armor would really help a lot given nex's hitcap, as would the extra souls on soul volley (though you could just cast 3 at a time tbf). the duration buff might not be gigantic but could make the difference between keeping her haunted the full kill or not!

I was using T90 necro gear with a PB of 1:18, T95 just makes it more consistent

I'm just getting back into the game after a 1 year hiatus and this was super helpful, thanks! A question - what's that icon for "1 or 2" at 0:16? I think it's been updated, I don't find it anymore.

Of course! It’s the vengeful ghost command, only becomes available when the ghost is summoned assuming you’ve unlocked it from the well of souls.

Settings -> gameplay -> combat & action bar -> hit splats. Option I use is legacy hit splats.

Having started necro blind and having limited lookups into rotations, damn this kill looks magical. Will slow this down in future for reference for sure. General question since I don't understand how it works. Putrid worth using even against poison immune just for the regular dmg attack dmg?

As long as you precast, yes it's worth. It's almost never worth paying adrenaline for unless the boss is poisonable and surviving too long

Any way to not get hit by ice prison. That is always the first use for me and it kos me everytime

You’ll have to dps fast enough to skip it, ideally you want to phase into ice phase before nex goes back into a blood siphon (where she spawns reavers) - if she’s on this mechanic when you phase into ice, she’ll start with the ice prison.

@@RheyoRS so before I made this comment i had tried about 10 times to get through and failed. Right after I made it I had one lucky survival and killed her. Now I’m on a streak and haven’t died once
