Hello guys and welcome once again to a new video. When I was fixing my espresso machine is found this solution that I wanted to share it with you. I really hope this one helps you ...if yes give it a thumbs up and subscribe. Take care!
Thanks for sharing a simple fix for this annoying problem. I’m still looking for the right gasket online but your trick worked like a charm. Thanks man!
Good idea, or you could use a correct sized iring inside the seal to pack it out. You didn't mention the screws and plastic clips to access the seal though 😩 That's the hard part, getting it apart without breaking these, cheers from Australia
We had the same problem with the Nespresso essenza, and used a strip of rubber band inside the gasket to expand it and create a better seal. It's working so far :)
Yes I did try the same as well and cut a piece of rubber band and out it around and it works wonderfully. Thanks for the tips. Not easy to find a wire.
Help please Adrian, how or what do I disassemble to get to the o ring please? Do I remove the outer shell cover and if so, how to do this please? Thank you. This is a Nescafe Alegria.
I put a lick of wood glue in the recess of the washer then let it dry. That was enough to displace the washer up, into abutment with the housing, which slightly reduces the inner diameter, to grip the spigot on the water tank... no leak.
Hi. From my experience I saw that also new units have this problem. This is because the gasket is made from a soft rubber material and even if it stays in storage for a long time it may lose his sealing properties.
With the groove down. The role of the groove is to push against the walls of the plastic drain and against the water tank intake and make a perfect seal. Therefore groove down.
Hi there, hubby got this for Christmas gift, used it today and water pouring out then we discovered a tiny coiled spring popped out the part that the water tank clips into. Any ideas please.
That spring from the water tank should never get out. His role is to tension the gasket that seals the water inside the tank. Order a new water tank spring system or buy a new water tank.
I ordered and fitted a new one from Amazon but it still leaks. I'm wondering whether it's a bad seal or something else? I don't want to order another seal from elsewhere in case it still doesn't fix it.
Thanks for information. My problem is the actual tank leaks so I presume the "O" ring inside the tank is the problem but I can't see how it can be replaced. Any suggestions?
@@benassy69 Thanks for your reply Adrian. The leak in my water tank is due to the "O" ring inside the tank having perished not the gasket in the unit itself. I can now remove and replace the "O" ring - I just need to find a supplier for the correct size "O" ring
O zi buna!
@@benassy69 Da, merci. Am gasit intre timp si clipul ala cu diffuser plate sau cum i.o zice si in ro nu stiu. O sa mestresc ceva ca acolo. Stiu ca nu is scumpe dar parca la ambitie vreau sa il repar ca nu e decat un Picollo amarat in fond. Merci si faci treaba buna!
Fuck me mate 😂 i owe u $100 or so 🙄🤣 U just saved that much money for me, to not buying a new coffee machine 🙏🏻 i was playing with mine almost a year now😡 u cant imagine how many sleepless night caused by this f*ckin water leakage 🙄🤣 first time i saw this video i thought its bullshit 🤣 cant fix this problem whit a bloody wire 🙄 Bt it truly worked 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 U are a fuckin legend mate 🙏🏻💪🏻 thanks for your video 😉
Hi there where do you guys get the parts. The water lever switch not working properly. I called the company they said they don’t have. Don’t waste your money on this brand also Nespresso is the same company they don’t have the parts. Thank you
@@benassy69 thanks for your help The capacitor I know which is but where is the FET located . Another thing how can I check if capacitor is good or not . Thanks
Unsolder the cap and measure it. It has to be close to the value stated on the housing of the cap. The FET is located underneath the pin marked as PUMP.
It is a small one by the time you test it, it should be discharged. But to be sure short the terminals with a screwdriver and then unsolder it. The value is somewhere between 470nF to 680 nF if I recall correctly.
