*Quick Snip Review* IBG Models1/72 Focke-Wulf 190 D-9

Those two cowling rings are for two different (kind of) aircraft. The open one with the deep recess is for the Ta 152 C and H (the small piece at the top is the Oil cooler radiator. (IBG will also release these at a guess. The other one with the flat front and circular holes is for the D9 thru D13 family. (Not sure about the D-15 as it was never built but was designed to use the Ta152 type engine. The D13 did also, but utilised the D-9 radiator pattern.) Yeah, I really like the late 190s and Ta 152s.... and have several good references on them all. HTH.

Hi Jen. I have this one, and may be able to offer you a few pointers (?). Yes it's a gorgeous kit, but in the early stages it's horribly flimsy. With regard to the wheel ba etched roof pieces, if you do some careful dry fitting once you have the lower wing in place, fix the top wing with tape, and with tweezers you can see it will fit at this stage. The other horrible thing is the complete lack of attachment for the upper rear deck in the fuselage- HTH.

thanks for the review. I had pretty much decided I was through with 1/72 aircraft...but I'm now doing the Arma Hobbies P-51B...and I LOVE the FW-190 Dora. So...I might have to postpone my 1/72 exist for "one more kit"
