Owen, I like my action REALLY low, so often I'll need to change the neck angle the slightest bit to achieve it. I'll certainly try adjusting the saddle heights first to see if I can get it where I need it. In my experience, companies ship guitars with action a little higher than preferred, usually to compensate for the necks naturally adjusting when they are shipped to a new area. I hope that helps.
