Great instruction! Is it possible to have a video showing how to use thicker paint for texture particularly in grasses, in an la prima method, not painting over dry layers. I’m thinking particularly of the work of Denys Gorodnychyi.
Thanks Dianne, may I ask what surface are you using? I mean the canvas? is it canvas paper or canvas? which brand? Its perfect for oils ...not too much texture nor too smooth.
For the Quick Tips, I use sheets I have cut from a roll of Fredrix Series 580 Universal primed canvas. I tape these to a board. For my own work, I use a heavier quality stretched canvas.
I think there’s a quick tip from many years ago which is demonstrating Diane’s method of gessoing paper in bulk really quickly for affordable practice purposes. Have you tried going back and starting with tip #1? You may not want to watch every single one but it’s definitely worth looking through the titles
