I just now discovered this little trick and I can't believe it took me this long. Hope this little tip helps anyone out there with an R, RP, R5, or R6. Cheers.

During slow motion playback, you can turn the rear dial to adjust the slow motion speed. The speed is shown in the upper right corner.

I believe the slow motion preview just drops the speed in half, from 60fps to 30fps, so not a whole slowdown to 40%, but it's helpful. I think I've known about this feature ever since I started shooting 720p60 on my old T6i before I got my R6, it functions the same way over there.

Yeah I figured it wasn’t a full 40%, but close enough to be helpful. Does it now? I used to have the 5D mark iv and I don’t recall that feature but could be wrong. Just something I’ve been overlooking I suppose.

How do you move from photo to video - Im told there is a setting in the menu that saves your last settings in the C Modes. So if you move from C3 to Manual Video (next to each other on the top dial) your last photo settings are saved.

I have it setup on my camera that the * on the back of the camera is changed to mode and then pressing info allows me to swap between photo and video. I feel like it’s quicker, at least for me, than having to reach the top of the camera to press mode.

@@alexshotthese Alex whats actually saved when you do this - are your last settings saved. Theres not many videos out there showing how people get round no custom video settings on the R6.
