Have you considered getting a thin sheet of brass and curving so it can slide down the inside of the spark plug well so it can break the connection between the stranded boot and the block? I don't know if the soft brass sheet would damage the spark plug well or not as I am not a _grease monkey_ and haven't worked on engines for 35+ years but it's just a thought that may or may not work. *Thank you* for the video Mike. 👍

I can't stand cars made since OBD1 Because It's about the time where car design went downhill for good. Tons of plastic parts, Computer nonsense, tight engine compartments, And all 4 door and 2 door cars going to transverse fwd designs that are less efficient and harder to work on. P.S i had to use a coat hanger to get a broken boot out of a 3.6 jeep what a pile that thing was they some how manged to make one bank of cylinders inaccessible to get to when doing spark plugs because they hang the intake manifold over to one side of the engine instead of having just stay between the V of the engine. Chrysler engineers have always been the worst even back in the day.

No doubt very aggravating. A simple job turns nightmare. Ford’s 2 piece (spring and boot) definitely less trouble even though failure rate is way higher. The law of unintended consequences applies here. Plugs easily last 100k. But coil parts tend to bake and get brittle due to years between service. The RANT is okay. It releases all the disgust,aggravation and stress so you don’t take it out on wife and kids. Del
