Quick Tip: John Deere Hood Repair 

Good Job. Reinforce the Hood Grab area BEFORE it cracks.

I used a plastic welder to stabilize the cracks. I used 5 or 6 tacks from the front to the back. Then, I used JB weld as usual.

I'd first wash the hood inside and out with a wash and wipe to remove the release agent's from the factory kinda like a bee's wax silicone so the plastic don't stick to the mold... Then sand the hood and before applying the J B weld wash the hood again... Then apply J B Weld.... Good gob 👍 for mine I drilled a small hole at the end of the crack of it would not travel any farther...

well, sorta good , need to add support like fiberglass mesh and resin .. and remove one clip that retains the hood on the side

I am a widower and have to take care of my self I am trying to get my 345 John deer mower ready to cut green and I am trying to put a hood on

Mine broke off at the 2 front mounting bolts do you believe that this process is worth a shot? Have you ever repaired a hood in the mounting area successfully?
