My Drake's flush tower has been trouble since the beginning. First, it would hang on the way down 1 - 10 times. I fixed that by filing down the inner ridges along the guide legs. It still leaks water past the gasket - enough that after filling, then turning off the supply, the tank will be empty overnight. Flappers have worked just fine for decades. Flush towers are an engineering solution to a non-problem. No more flush towers for me.

Recently purchased Toto Aquia IV Cube and Aquia IV Arc Toilets. Both are new Aquia toilets that have left lever with dual flushing. In my opinion Newer Aquia IV models are better than Drake II models.

Ok so i bought a kohler 360 Cimarron 1.28 from home depot. Its terrible. Clogs. Stuff sticks to the bottom. 360 flush misses between 12 and 3. Seat is uncomfortable. Thinking of getting the toto drake CST744SL01. Any issue with sticking or clogging with this model? I want to stay away from a vortex flush. Although totos has two openings so it shouldnt miss.

would like to replace current toilet with a Toto 1.28 gpf one piece tornado flush and cifiontect elongated front bowl ADA compliant now and add later a toto washlet when I add electrical outlet. Stopped in an appliance store for a different item but asked about my plan. He said I have to pick a toto model which is washlet ready. He printed out MS856124CEMG UltraMax one piece. I tried to do a "washlet ready" search for other TOTO models, no result. Please comment. I hadn't thought about toilets since we were required to install water conserving toilet until a month ago. Considering a Drake II but have been a bit scared off by comments about the bowl being so shallow that it is problematic for men. What's the deal with these comments? Is it specific to bowl shape maybe?

Hi thanks for all your videos. I left this comment on a video that was a couple years old so I want to ask it here too. Plus I added a question at the end. Hi I have something called multiple chemical sensitivities disorder where I react to chemicals and I am noticing that all brands of toilets are putting anti microbial coating in their toilets and I am trying to find one without that added toxicity. I noticed some Toto toilets don’t have this but I do notice that ALL Toto toilets have a California 65 warning that the toilet contains lead and other materials that can cause cancer and birth defects. This makes me nervous. No other brands has the California 65 warning except Toto and I would like to know what is it about Toto toilets that makes them have to list that warning? I called Toto several times and got transferred around for 2 hours always getting conflicting answers. Some saying yes there are cancerous chemicals in it but you are fine if you don’t expose your skin. But you have to sit on the thing....and it’s not just the toilet SEAT I’m talking about because it’s listed for all the toilets that don’t even include the seat. With my compromised health I want to make sure I am getting a safe toilet and shouldn’t have to pick between two poisons, the anti microbial coating or cancerous issues. Thank you so much for your response. Also I notice some things you said regarding low flush toilets not flushing well with cast iron flanges. I’m replacing a 30 year old Eljer and it does have a cast iron flange so should I be getting a 1.6 flush toilet? Dont installa 2021 toilet in a 40 year old pipe system. Chances are its PVC or cast iron and requires a 3 gpf toilet.
