Ah OK, yeah it can be a bit tough. I would recommend replacing the gaskets , that way they're tighter. See if that helps, if not, you may have to figure out a way to either idle the pump lower or choose a third option, which would be twice the entire load head over to the next tube.
not sure if its possible with your trailer but on our trailers we can unchain the hog head and just close the valve and open the ears on the whole hog head and move it over as sometimes that hose can be a pain in the ass pulling it off. just a suggestion.
If I owned the trailer I would change the chains. Since this is a new trailer the chains are crimped and short as hell. I definitely prefer your suggestion though, I may just ask if I can do that anyway since it will make life easier for sure.
When you are finished with the last compartment, What end do you close off first? The valve on the tank or the truck? I have done gravity drops at gas stations but not pump off jobs
@@DrtyDiesel if I can learn the pump off delivery I will be happy so I can be confident in doing them. Do the customer tanks have a check valve? It seems like they would have one.
I was taught by a 35 year fuel hauler to leave valve open when empty, let the bucket catch the little bit of fuel, then close valve, switch compartments. Either way works bro
@@JoeD10201984 I agree 100%. When I run lube oil I let it drain in a bucket since it takes so dang long to drain out. I agree, either way works for sure. Stay safe man
