or you could have removed the screws/passed the fastener then refitted the screws or you could have put recessed screws into the rail by opening the hole on rail a bit at an angle... since the screws you used were not well seated
Thanks for the video. Questions: where did you find the sliders you purchased and couldn’t use? 80/20? Would those sliders work with a factory Sprinter roof rail ? Been looking for hardware. Thanks.
Great videos. I've been following you now for about a week. Do you mind sharing your shopping list of getting solar set up in your van? I would like to get something like this set up for my van. Thanks !
@@maliaika8610 Sorry for the delay, we decided to have a relaxing weekend with the kids and it’s been a long week. Hopefully things are going well for you. :) We put the list in the description of this video (and our other 2 videos on the solar install). We hope this helps! There are a lot of other components needed for the full electrical set-up. I used faroutride.com/ to help with my electrical calculations and configuration. I did end up buying their electrical diagram, which I loved having as I went to build it all.
We were nervous for that part too and it actually wasn't too bad! Just make sure you take your time, file and paint the raw edges and make a really good seal.
Something that I've observed living on this planet for the past 73 years. When presented with a PROBLEM that seems INSURMOUNTABLE... Try approaching the PROBLEM either 90 or 180 degrees from the way you're thinking about it. (Applies in the case below).
