I had to rewatch this video to see the pattern on the glass pitcher you found. I have several but loved that pattern. I agree with you that now is the time to collect! I think it’s lovely and in a lighted cabinet….stunning. And goes with everything. I love rescuing those pieces.

Lead crystal cut glassware has lost its value over the years. My late mother was very proud of her collection as I was when I had my own home. I think it’s the dishwashers fault as it seems to love destroying it!

after hibernating 12 days out of the last 2 weeks, i forced myself to get out of the apartment, hit 2 thrift stores, go to 1 Dollar Tree, and stop at a fast food place to get a runza and a swiss cheese/mushroom burger. the temperature was cool, but it was nice and sunny. i discovered that Popeyes opened a new fast food restaurant about 15 minutes from my place. that made my day! thanks for taking us shopping, Scott. you play the piano beautifully. I am glad we didn’t have to address the 1959 promotional gold hearts Pyrex casserole dish with no lid. The bottom would sell for $10/no lid and $11 to ship. There are very few Pyrex pieces that bring good money anymore. It is just like the death of the collector plates or Beanie Babies. Pyrex sells cheaply in malls where people pay no shipping. That crystal pitcher sells for $2-$3 at my St. Vincent thrift store, all day long, every day of the week! The milk glass decanter looks like a dresser bottle or barber bottle?

The Nippon dish is not a cheese and cracker dish and no it is not glued with e6000. It is a donut dish! The donuts are displayed on the bottom dish and powdered sugar on the small top dish. The donuts were dipped in the powdered sugar when served. I have a collection of these dishes and the price marked was a give away price.

@@elderlypoodle9181 I think we're not very good if we can't care for those who cared for us. I was with mom almost 3 years and wouldn't change 1 minute for anything. Still trying to get my house in order..I stayed with her so my home was sorely neglected but I'll get done eventually. We do what we have to when we care for loved ones. I had never been with anyone when they passed, then to see both parents was a shocker!! I was very blessed to have both of them into their mid 90s!! I thanked God for every second He left them here. Now I know they are together in heaven and I will see them again one day. I miss both terribly..we did so much together. Bless you for caring for your mom. It's no easy job and takes much out of you.
