Quick Tutorial: How to crochet foundation stitches

This may be the coolest trick I have ever learned! I ahways hated doing foundation chains, and now the foundation row is so easy! Thank you!!!

I have watched several videos on how to do this and yours is, BY FAR, the most informative! I could not understand how to determine how to find the chain part making this until i watched your video and you suggested pinching the chain stitch after making it! Thank you for visually and verbally explaining this so well!!!

Thank you for posting that foundation stitch - you made it very easy to follow. Can you help me with connecting that so it makes a round for a neckline - not sure how the connecting part goes.
