You'll love it. The rear remotes are just begging for top and tilt. Beware when you get set to do this, that although the implement ends of the 3-point are Cat-2, the tractor end are not. They're Cat-1. I bought a Cat-2 top cylinder, and had to modify it with a grinder to make it fit. I have yet to find a tilt cylinder kit or parts. The connections to the lift, and to the 3-point arms are somewhat unique in my experience. One of the salesmen at the dealership said he cut the ends off of one of the stock rods, and welded his cylinder between the two ends. I'd use a left (solid) one, so that I could repurpose the adjustable one to the left. I'd be interested if anyone knows of a ready-made tilt cylinder for an XR4100 series or MT3 series.
Those are definitely on my list to get. The top link will come first. I sure am glad you brought that to my attention, I knew it was cat 2 at the implement end like you said but I haven’t dug deep enough into it yet to realize what all was involved as you were saying about the tractor side of it. I will go out tomorrow afternoon and see how mine is setup. Thank you sir for letting me know, that’s exactly what I was hoping to get out of this RU-vid channel….to help others out as much as I can and to get help and advice from others like yourself.
Thanks for making the very detailed video. I’m in the market for a new Cab tractor in that HP range. I nixed JD and Kubota due to being way out of my price range. I looked at a XR4155 but it sold before I could get back to it. I haven’t made the time yet to go see a New MT series so your video was a great help.
You’re welcome. I have about 40 hours on it now and love it! I couldn’t imagine having a hydrostatic drive without the linked pedal option. So handy. I know the older models don’t have that.
Hi Simon from the Uk - The LS MT357HC tractor is one splended little tractor I'm very impressed with it and for the turning cycle that's insane for a 4x4 tractor. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos and by the way great job with the filming.
Small world. Diamond r was great to buy from and I plan to buy all my parts, fluids and filters from them. They seem very fair priced on their implements also, did you buy any implements from them when you bought your tractor?
So I did my 50 service myself. Diamond R says they use MFA oils. During my research if found at tractor supply their brand is Travelers premium hydraulic oil which meets the manufacturers specs. And the engine oil is shell Rotella 15/40 T4. It exceeds the manufacturers specs. Just thought I would try to help. Enjoy.
Congrats on your new tractor. Looks very similar to my NH Boomer 40 but mine is a 2019. Amazing how fast time zooms by ! Your tractor has a bunch of features which I wish I had esp at the rear with all the extra 3-point controls etc. I have made some videos of mine on YT (not very good ones) but if I can help ya out in any way just hollar since they seem pretty similar.
Congrats! I bought the same Tractor 5 weeks ago, still waiting on delivery. the wait is killing me!! They said it could be as long as "5 months" because of the supply chain issues. I picked up the 3rd valve kit and a WR Long grapple as well.
Thanks! I love it and you will love yours too. I got lucky, my dealer had 2 of these tractors in stock. Did you go with the OEM or aftermarket 3rd function valve kit?
@@byloacres1375 Still no tractor. But I am in the homestretch. The tractor is at the dealer awaiting installation of the kit, should have it late next week.
I've had the tractor for a few weeks. I have a bunch of broken trees from a bad snow storm this year and the grapple has been poppin' trees right out of the ground no problem. Biggest so far was about a 20 ft 5 inch diameter Holly. The 3rd function kit seems to be working great, no complaints. Except I may need to have the install looked at. I think they made lines too long, they are getting hung up in the right front wheel when turning hard right. And the hoses are rubbing against the hood marking it up (I know it's a tractor, but I like to keep things nice within reason.) Other than the install, the buttons work great, the hand control is comfortable, and the routing in the cabin looks factory. No complaints there.
thanks for sharing, that is a good looking tractor and it came with three remotes who does that? I had to pay extra for mine but my tractor is not blue
