Thank you for showing us what is possible with just a few colours, a waterbrush and a tiny piece of paper. The three little paintings and the filming of your day out are captivating, and always love to see Poppy, what a great little dog 🐶 🤗

Ahh! This was so lovely. I woke up early and having my cup of tea at 5.30 am I’d save this to watch and I wasn’t disappointed - what a lovely relaxing and informative journey you took us on. This brought back a lot of childhood memories too as there are many links for me and the Mayflower as a recurring theme. My dad was doing his national service in Harwich when he’d travelled to London and met my mum. Within 6 months they were married and had emigrated to Canada for a better life, and we ended up in New England, Cape Cod. I remember it so well. Our travels eventually brought us back to Europe and I came full circle when my work brought me back to Harwich a few times a week. To see where my dad had been in his youth and where the Mayflower had begun its journey to the New World is such a strange thing. It was lovely to see another link in the chain of that amazing journey and those incredibly brave people who made it. Thank you for taking the time to share this with us.
I’m glad I could provide a little extra bit of context for the Mayflower. I wish I’d had more time at the museum. It’s definitely someplace I’d like to go back to in the future. 😊
This is the epitome of a perfect day for me. the moors, cold weather, a cozy Inn and sketching. Mind you I’ve only dreamt of this as I sit here in Arizona’s 114 degree days. Two days into experiencing your videos and I can’t stop watching. Last night I couldn’t sleep. I decided to get up and make my own tiny sketchbook. I love bookmaking and have made all sizes including a few minis but I never had a purpose for sketching and watercolor. I used canvas fabric to cover the covers then decided to use my Gelli Plate to add some color to the covers. Before I knew it was 7:00 AM. Time to watch a few more videos while eating breakfast. Thank you for all you share and your gentle, soothing manner and your music choices for you videos.
This popped up this morning just as I’m looking forward to a day trip to Broadstairs today. I’ve been so inspired by your videos I’m taking my art kit with me and aiming to to paint the beach huts. I’m a true novice but my dear late father was a very talented artist so I’ve taken up this hobby in his honour and I totally understand now why he enjoyed all aspects of his creative talents. In a small way painting connects me with him and it’s very healing in my grief ❤
I so enjoy going along on your day trips and getting to view things I normally wouldn’t see. I especially enjoyed the Museum and the history of it. And as you say” the icing on the cake “ is watching you paint along the way, Thank you.
Thanks for taking us along! I think watercolour sketches like these are great for practice sessions as well learning to focus on capturing the scene at the moment. I’m always too focused on the sketch and I end up being nit picky about the details that I often forget to enjoy myself while painting.
Thank you for the cruise it was nice and really interesting 😉👍 I love the way you challenge yourself at the end it's always beautiful and the boat was a good one 😉😁💪 I still in love with all yours thin boxes now I want to thrift 😁🤷♀️🤦♀️ Bises
Yay another vlog even poppy is here!!! and i am really early lucky me!!! My god the scenery is majestic 🤩 would love to visit once!! Man your art is beautiful I love it sooo much!! The architecture there is sooo pretty 😍
I love following your channel, I immediately get a calm feeling watching you work. You inspired me to buy the Peg and Awl Scout box. I haven’t used it yet, but I’m excited to use it during my beach trip next weekend. Have you been able to use yours much? I’d love to see some more videos about it.
I really enjoyed your video because I loved tagging along for the experience and because your journey reminded me of the days when I had a one hour train commute. I carried a small sketchbook, a pen and some colored pencils and drew the whole time in both directions. The bumps from the train were just a part of the drawings. During that period, I was drawing at the table at a friend's house when another friend kept bumping the table. My friend admonished the bumper, but I actually didn't consider it a problem because incorporating vibrations was something I was totally used to by then.
Thank you for sharing your river ride. I can see what inspired you and you captured it perfectly! I love miniature paintings (what do you do with them?) You looked like you enjoyed yourself and I enjoyed it with you!
Really enjoyed this trip with you and Polly❤ I checked out the Blue Star Palette since I thought it very practical and also cute, but was a bit shocked by the insanely high price of almost $700,-, there's even another one with only 9 colour wells for over $1300,- WOW😮 😢
@@LeslieStroz I thought I checked their Etsy page as well and got the same? Thanks for checking it out. I will keep an eye on it and look in a little while again. Greetings from Spain
I wanted one for sooo long and once I finally got it I didn’t really like it. It’s adorable, but the palettes are so small and fragile (my daughter broke one of hers). I’d recommend their pocket box instead. It’s a terrific starter box!
