Brings me back 30 years ago, I created a flight school with those Quicksilver ultralights, we had great times! Quicksilvers are very safe short take off and landing. Of course we had mechanical failures have been sucked up by storms shaken by turbulences but always came back down safely due to those very short take off and landing speed and also by the parachute shape of the wings. Great Video!
I sure miss my MXL II! I had so much fun flying around Brians Airport of the 14 FWY, Pearblossom Hwy. I couldn't believe he had the balls to fly over those mountains. The weather patterns can get intense. I notice his left foot pushing down on the rudder to fight the crosswinds. Just great stuff!
NICE ! You guys are killing me. I used to own a Cobra' ultralight, made by Advanced Aviation. I've been thinking of starting the search for a Quicksilver. This vid sealed it for me. SEARCH ON
@@innocentbystander3798 I guess something a little more heavy duty, but this seems to work. My fear would be the wing collapsing while being that high up
The video reminds me when I was flying ultralights in the 2000s I had a friend who flew in a Quicksilver just the same. My congratulations on the video greetings from Spain
Perfect flight in a wonderful place. I loved the scenery. Where this flight was made, I would like to meet someday. Congratulations Brazil, Santa Catarina, Itajaí
Amazing footage, thank you a lot. Breathtaking to see when you flew over those mountains, can't wait to see your next video Greetings from the Netherlands

I wouldn't say that that was a particularly careful flight inspection..... My instructor wouldn't be impressed if I did that, you examine all the connections, wheels tyres etc if you're trusting your life to this machine then you satisfy yourself it's safe...
I use to rent a MX before I purchase a use MX from a friend back in the mid 80's in Denton, TX. I miss how fun it was to fly by the seat of your pants. But I hated flying when the weather was bad. I could only fly in the evening time when winds was claim. They no longer have the airport for them. Unless you own some land somewhere outside the city limits. I was able to sell my later to someone else before the airport was closed.
