I went into the aircraft maintenance trade, I was treated like absolute garbage. The most abusive shit bags imaginable treated us with the worst kind of psychological abuse. They were power tripping lunatics. They did not want me to learn and progress in my trade. Everyday was just an ongoing humiliation ritual. It was demonic and sadistic. Some of these people know exactly how do what they do and then get away with it. Its bean years since, and it still give me anger and rage issues.
Most working conditions (that aren't for graduates) are absolutely gross, underpaid, over worked and abusive. Well done for being brave and saying it as it is.
I was told get a trade, so l did. I loathed being an electrician from day one. I wanted to be dancing or painting, l didn't know what but something creative. I left it but l've always done work l haven't enjoyed, so you go for it SI! 👍 I ended up pretty much working for myself, not for £, just avoid having a boss, it's worked out on the £ side but still, a dismal working life. I put a lot of effort into my kids, 2 eldest are happy doing what they want, 1 in Vietnam, youngest travels doing diving instruction, l get pleasure from them enjoying "work".
This story makes me sad and happy. Sad because you never found work that you enjoyed, happy because you were able to teach your kids based on your experience in the working world, and now because of you they’ve found happiness and contentment in their work. I’m pleased for you as a father, and for them as your children.
@@LIFEOFSIofficial No need to be sad, l've had a good life & work wasn't my life. I always had an eye on getting out whilst healthy and l have. Actively looking for a van for euro touring from winter, l've an Irish passport so no issues.
I was doing bricklayer apprenticeship they put me with a bloke who wanted to be on his own, it was a nightmare I tried to stick out but I quit and they said same thing swearing is just what being on building site is like. Difference between swearing and being sweared at constantly. Later I got with better people. I also quit factory jobs that were going nowhere in life. I agree just move on if you don’t like it 👍🏻
Was a plumber since I was about 17 years old, I know what you mean about the building trade. I done my apprenticeship with some really great guys at a good company in Fulham all domestic work I still have my own plumbing business here in Spain and I also do pools, I enjoy my work meeting new people seeing their homes, I own a villa here near Alicante 😎
Sounds like you’re living a great life my friend. Sometimes you get lucky with who you work with, pleased this was the case for you. I love Spain, my gf is from there. We’ll be there with the van next year after we’re finished with Egypt 🇪🇬 Stay happy ☀️
Awesome that you were and are good with your boundaries- and the freedom of van life now gives you even more options. Treating staff as second rate citizens is simply bad management and completely counter-productive long term. The sort that treat their staff like sh-t probably treat their partner the same. Your experience as a boy working at the air conditioning company makes me very angry- I shudder to think how I'd react- but I could imagine me getting revenge at some point, but, of course, walking away and moving on is the healthier way to deal with it. Workplace bullying is absolutely vile and totally unacceptable.
It's interesting due to the level of compassion you had for the chickens you decided what is not good enough for you due to the compassion you had for yourself. Hency why you made yourself free. Starts with compassion isn't it
It's all spoken like a true sovereign - just as we are meant to be, as God intended. Mortgages are designed to deliberately entrap everyone into a slave system... and once you understand how mortgages even work, then it becomes clear that it IS a form of slavery - or specifically, indentured slavery... In fact, once you sign the mortgage papers - these are whisked away and 'securitised' behind the scenes - ie, sold on the bond market for the value of the labour you will perform to pay it off - your "sweat equity"... The bank insures the mortgage - so even if you default, it will make £££ and either way, it will create more than a million from even the smaller sums it "lends" to you... There really is no lending, because the bank does not give you money in the first place. The money is created with your signature. There have been court cases that have proved these things - and you can have a forensic audit of your mortgage to prove how yours was fraudulently made - Allegedly Dave has a good video giving a rundown of all this - but people were murdered for exposing it, and it's not something the mafia banks and government will allow to seep out. The Creature from Jekyll Island, by G Edward Griffin is THE book to read, to understand the fraud at the heart of the entire money system... You are so clever to have seen through and escaped so early on... The trouble is, how to be free when you have a family to look after... But unless and until more people open their eyes as you have, remember their morals, and REJECT the paltry, crappy degenerate workplace, it will carry on consuming people's energies for nothing but empty nihilism - when we are made in God's image and capable of so much more...
It's reassuring to see that others are aware of the trap . Everything you wrote is correct I'm sure you are aware of the birth certificate fraud , the surname not belonging to you .
I get my eggs from a friend who has a backyard flock. Interesting experiences. Thanks for sharing all that wisdom and advice. Lots of young people don’t have anyone to advise them. I hope RU-vid can become something that provides an income somehow. It hasn’t done much for me 😂 But who knows?
Thanks for sharing and supporting 🙏 Hopefully it helps a few people make the right choices with their life. Will see with RU-vid, I have faith that if I keep helping it will happen 🙏
@@LIFEOFSIofficial sponsorships and merch are where the income is. Just be careful of sponsors. BetterHelp is terrible- they sell people’s private information.
I finished my last job in 2018, working for a property management company in Cambridge uk . I handed my written notice over to a member of staff . I received no notice of acceptance until I pressed them to reply . After 5 years service I expected more, but that is an insight to how most companies are run .
been a bricklayer for 40 years ..worked for and with a few arsehols in the early years but nothing like what you went thru...most guys are ok and many are really nice to work with once quite my job flat and girlfriend...all in one day
what are your recomendations about buying a van.how old should it be.what to look for basically when buying a van to self build.what price range would ypu go max or min.any advice appreciated as struggling with life also could pl give a brief outline of your work history, what business did you go into etc.keep up the good work
It depends on your budget. I’d go for a VW, they’re reliable. I would try and get something that has under 180k miles. Rust is more important than age.
The same happend to me aprentiship bricklayer i hated it lasted 7 mounths complete bunch of wankers felt sick every day i had to go treated like shit .
As someone with anxiety I’ve settled far too easy with a decently weekly paid job and I know there’s more in me. My husband is my biggest inspiration but you definitely cement that for me.
I think the only lesson you may still have to learn is to stick at stuff. You could have made things change in that sales job, and become a director. Walking out is not the only option.
Truthfully, I think I still have a lot more to learn than that 😉 Interestingly, when I worked at Volkswagen (a job I left, didn’t quit) the brand director said to me ‘Do you not want to be in my position in 10 years?’ … the thought made me feel sick inside.
@@LIFEOFSIofficial it’s definitely tough, I’m dyslexic and was also a slow learner developer. Bullied at school and work (YTS slave) but I found something and stuck with it, I suppose I had invested so much in it (time and money) and it paid off. Now 50 and retired with steady income that doesn’t need much input from me.
It’s tough leaving school at 16 to work in a sector where all of the old school. Bullies work. They must have eaten you alive. I’m sorry you had to go through that - you didn’t explain why you left school at 16 ? Did you have the grades to move onto A levels ?
@@LIFEOFSIofficial defiantly agree I would have felt sick thinking I was going to be a manager or director in my job in 10 yrs 😂no thanks ❤lol In the lock down I was so free out walking for miles with my dog 🐩 my bosses thought I wasn’t coming back and had disappeared of the face of the earth love your podcast glade I found the channel
