Urgh, I was in the car, and heard the news on the radio. When I got home and played all my Quiet Riot records like I did when Kevin died, this was the song I started with this time. Thank you for everything, Frankie.
The best of times, my friend. I was born in 79'; from 80 till' 89 were the most incredible times ever. Times of real music, Vinyl and CD, VHS, real shows and real friendships... life felt more real in those times.
The Intro is good, the sound is way too bombastic and nobody mixes records nowadays with tons of reverb anymore. Sounds cold and far away. If you leave away all this multiple efectosis you might eventually hear a very good song. Franki Banali RIP
I'm a drummer, and when I set my kit up to play somewhere, I play Frankie's intro as a warm up and to test the setup of the kit. I've been doing this since this track came out, and I've never once had someone recognize it. I keep holding out hope some day someone says "hey, ain't that Quiet Riot?"
@@sabbathbeast1322 Paul has a good voice but it's such a radical departure from Kevin's voice that brought QR its signature brash, in your face sound. I'm glad Kevin fought tooth and nail to get back into the band, and eventually succeeded in 1991
QRIII is a totally underrated album. Listened to it yesterday after it lay dormant for many years. The first three are still the best. Really miss you Kevin and Frankie.
Nothing is underrated if your a true fan and obviously your not , stop saying what albums are underrated cause it's not true , now go listen to Nickelback!
@@ozzymd1 You stupid dumbf@ck! When he says "underrated" he means it should have been rated higher, it means that the album should have been regarded with a higher status by critics and fans. NOW GO LEARN SOME ENGLISH!
Okay Randy Passed away on March 19 on 1982. And its Ozzy, not Qzzy. thats not even a realistic spelling mistake when the Q is on the other side of the keyboard
There is a batch of younger bands who still keep the 80s metal alive. Crashdiet, Bloody Heels, Crazy Lix, H.E.A.T, Eclipse, Snakebite, Kissing Dynamite, Girish and the Chronicles
@@MichaelBradley1967 I was blown away first time I heard Ice-T & Body Count. It seemed so out of character for him to go from hip-hop to metal but he's good in my book.
Thank you. Another great thing about the 80s. You'd go to shows and it and the crowd looked like the united colors of Benneton, and nobody, I'm talkin' 'bout 𝘯𝘰𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘺, gave a flying fuck, we all partied together, what they'd call a DEI crowd nowadays...🙄
"The Wild And The Young" Times are changing Nothing stays the same For this jukebox generation Adhere to fashion Like computer games Modern day communication The news hard to take Will fade tomorrow They are the strong They'll survive The wild and the young They all have their dreams The wild and the young They've got to be free The sun never sets For souls on the run The wild and the young Yeah Hah! Roaring passion With no guilt or shame It's accepting education, yeah! Misbehaving No regrets, no blame With a bold kind of sophistication So close to the edge And high on the wire They are not wrong They're alive The wild and the young They all have their dreams The wild and the young They've got to be free The sun never sets For souls on the run The wild and the young Ha! So close to the edge And high on the wire They are not wrong They're alive Look out! Wild, wild The wild and the Young, y-y-y-young The wild and the young They all have their dreams The wild and the young They've got to be free The sun never sets For souls on the run The wild and the young They all have their dreams The wild and the young They've got to be free The sun never sets For souls on the run The wild and the young Oh yeah The wild and the young Oh Right
"In the future there will be no rock n roll" well unfortunately this is true now we're all living this horrible nightmare let's hope heavy metal and rock n roll comes back sooner rather than never!!
@@jamesdesomma3639 the new lead singer was actually really good. Awesome even. But bad choice of songs. Boring. When I go to a concert I wanna rock!!😎 The Headpins were the best of the night!
Same here I forgot all about this song. I watched 5 videos before finding this. Was there another video they made where he's playing this metal flake Jackson? Maybe in the Starz RJD song?
I was in college when this came out. You can't kill Rock N Roll. The soul of Rock N Roll lives inside of all of us. Today's music sucks. 80s music rocks!
I was in 7th grade overseas and are bus had a tape deck. The kids played this song every morning on the way to school. My introduction into rock and metal
I was an 'extra' on this video. Mainly because I was also a Pasadena rocker at the time and knew Chuck and Frankie, so I just walked on set and was there for two days. Amazing food tables! It was all filmed at the old electric power station at Fair Oaks and Glenarm in Pasadena. Great times. Great band. Just the other day my wife and I heard "Feel The Noise" on JackFM. She's a rocker, tho' not a fan of QR in general, but she still admitted, 'Man, that guy had a great voice!'. Rock on, kids.
@@boblozaintherealworld3577 Cool story, brother! Not more than 15 minutes ago I was looking at my autographed picture from Frankie. A Facebook friend sent it to me at Christmas two years ago. Small world.
Man...this takes me back to 1986 & 11th grade. This is when there was REAL MUSIC & REAL MUSICIANS & REAL SINGERS...THEY REALLY PLAYED THEIR OWN GUITARS, DRUMS, & BASSES & THE FRONTMEN COULD REALLY SING WITHOUT AUTO-TUNE!!! Much love from Mobile Alabama.
Great white did it right. They made some really good music. Melody, good tone, Mark kendalls guitar playing. Michael Lardies piano. Everything. Love the new stuff also.
A great song Kevin Dubrow has a powerful beautiful voice great song writer great guitar solo one of my favorite Quiet Riot songs miss you Frankie n l miss Kevin Dubrow RIP 😎🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸🎸🌹🌹❤️❤️🙏🏋️🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🎸🎸🌹
Imagine being able to sing in front of Frankie Banali on Drums, Rudy Sarzo on Bass, Randy Rhoads or Carlos Cavazo on Guitar... man... powerful lineups indeed...
The first thing I taught myself to play on drums was the intro to this song. And I think the "Bang thy Head" coat of arms on the bass drum is pure genius! Best wishes to Frankie....keep fighting!
Sad day in Rock we lost another great musician Frankie to Pancreatic Cancer. Frankie who added to signature sound that QR was back in the 80’s was like no other ensemble. It is Sad no body today puts out that gut reching sound the way QR did. They will all be missed! RIP God Bless Kevin Dubrow and Frankie Banali founders if the band. 🙏💪
Ryan Bobbitt, what’s up bro? You introduced me to rock when I was In the 4th grade. Particularly Quiet Riot and more so, this song. Love ya man!!! You were in the 5th grade. You introduced me to my first sunrise after up all night when we had sleepovers. You loved Motley Crue. I’d look you up on face book, but I can’t stand face book, it’s a breach of my morals. If you get this, let’s have a reunion over beer and the AMI jukebox. Peace ✌️
R.I.P Frankie Banali and Kevin DuBrow. IMO there isn't Quiet Riot without these pivitol people in the band especially Frankie. He is the one who kept the band going. I got to see the classic lineup on the Alive and Well tour
So isn't this the truth today, more or less. Never could we have foreseen the type of world we have today. Never did we think Rock would be pushed so, completely, to one side that it remains today, almost, damn, non-existent. Man, how things can change so, damn, quickly over time. Unreal. Absolutely, unreal.
What rappers and hip hoppers want...no rock and roll to be played on the radio and anywhere in this country. Only their music was played even coming out of their smartphones. No rock music.
Growing up around 80 music from my dad blasting it in the car. He loves quiet riot, in particular the ‘mental health’ album but I missed this song. God must have knew the anthem of my life needed to be saved until today to discover it for the first time, it’s been on repeat almost 50 times now.
Crazy thing is my daughter (26) and her friends dig this more than I did when it came out back in the 80s.... They relate and connect to it just as much if not more.... Weird.
What an amazing song. I remember when it came out. I love the drums in this song. what a great band to see live. Kevin always had the crowds attention. Perfect front man.
@@jerrywoods4066 that person was giving their own opinion. And his opinion is right for him. He wasn't speaking for you or anyone else. You have your own take on who the best vocalists are, and I'm sure many would disagree with you as well.
rip Frankie your drumming was awesome. thank you for the music. you hammered those drums the way that they should be played loud and heavy. I really liked your style of playing. may the good lord watch over your family and keep them safe. rest in peace bro
The passing of Frankie Banali is tough one. I still play the intro at Guitar Center on drums and when people ask I say google Frankie Banali. I was 13 when this song came out and I’d play this song 20 times per day....so fun. My parents would tell me to play something else. No...love this one!
