Just over a year ago I finally walked out of a toxic relationship. I finally felt free for the first couple of weeks, then the loneliness set in. The following 4 to 5 months were hell for me but I said to myself with pure intent that I would break free from what was holding me back. Starting around month 6 I was in the beginning stages of letting go, and she messaged me around that time but I already had made up my mind and didn't want to go back. A year into my recovery and I have completely let go. There was no closure but wish not to hear from her ever again. Hearing this kind of music brings back memories but also relaxes me at the same time. The old saying of time heals all is very true and I'am a witness to that.

I remember going outside, standing on the side of a mountain during the worst part of my life so far. I looked to the river down below and began to weep. I thought my tears maybe would mean something in the cold vastness of the mountains.
