Here's the first fly of a new series of videos I'm doing apply named the "Framing Flies Series", because I'll be tying these for framing. Right on the nose. Bong. This series is tying tutorials for all 11 dry flies profiled in Mike Vallas book "Tying Catskill Style Dry Flies". This is probably my favorite fly tying related book ever. The stories are incredible. It's not just about tying. It's about the history of flies tied in this style. If you don't own this book, you can get it here:

Howdy Nick going to do a Catskill Dry frame project this winter going to be copying a lot of your patterns March Brown, red quill quill Gordon Cahill my question is, did you make a frame or what did you frame them in haven’t found the video of your finished project. Any advice you could give me for a frame would be appreciated, thanks PS where have you been? Haven’t seen you in a while. Thanks, Dave from PA.

I just bought a frame from Michael’s and use clear rods. My friend John uses toothpicks to hold them which is definitely cheaper that’s for sure. GL
