Fantastic quilt, I been sewing at the age of 8. My mom taught me and I been quilting for over 20, and use to make my wife's clothes. Thanks for sharing 😊
Popping over from Kate at The Last Homely House. Ive been quilting for decades, and can’t believe I’ve never seen the facing technique. I think I’m going to give it a try on my next one. Thank you for sharing your tutorial/technique.
7:56 What a wonderful finish. I have just completed a hexagon English paper piece quilt and was struggling with how to complete the edges as I didn’t want to compromise the pattern. I will use the facing technique which you demonstrated beautifully.
Fantastic! Today I am going to try this method on two doll quilts for my granddaughter's. I've been wanting to try this. Thanks Joe! Happy stitching, Susy from San Diego.
Thanks for this demonstration. I'm new to quilting and have only used binding so appreciate this. Is there a video about the sleeve that you do and how you hang so flatly to the wall?
I love facing as a technique, but isn't it like borders, opposite sides should measure the same, and be pinned such that the ends are pinned first then the middle, with everything in between eased? To prevent rippling.
