A very nice quilt motif, Joe! And nice tips and tricks. And thanks for showing us your frame and how it works, along with the needles and thread you use.
After seeing Kate's video by Anna of the Last Homely House and the lovely interview with you at the Festival of Quilts UK I had to find you. Look forward to improving my IQ ( haha love that) by watching all your videos. Incredible quilts. What a joy to see them.
I discovered you when you were talking with, and showing your quilts to Kate from the Last Homely house at the show in the UK. So I came over to your channel, and subscribed. You have interesting patterns of quilting, I like the double short lines you make. I also do bigger stitch quilting with #s12, 10, 8, and even #5 thread (grandson's!). that I discivered with a quilter named Tim. Unfortunately, I can't think of his last name, now, but I believe he has a small dog named Teddy as his quilting buddy. You have a nice dog, also, by your frame. I like to safety pin baste my quilt, and quilt it loose on my utility table, or even in my lap. I have tried hoops, frames, you name it. They just aren't comfortable for me. So, I guess, I've "broken' another rule of quilting. Rules? There are rules?? Glad to find your channel, now I can keep along with you, as well as Kate.
Thanks Joe, I haven’t made a quilt yet, just looking at all I can ingest before starting. But, yes I know, I just need to get my hands going and not think too much about it! Regards, Victoria
For many of us who’ve known and followed you over the years you are a national quilting treasurer!! Thank you!! for all you share about this awesome much beloved craft of handquiting🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽😊
Saw you on the last homely house at the UK quilt show thought I'd take a look at your stuff. Love it very much so subscribed. I am also from Michigan now in Florida and have time to quilt .glad to see there's more to quilting the traditional patterns. Thanks.
This is another fascinating and useful report, Joe! I am a true novice hand quilter, and your techniques of the 'railroad tracks' quilting pattern and the way you 'tie off' at the end of your thread or pattern are unique and substantial. I plan to utilize your teaching in an upcoming pillow cover project!
Thanks for the video. Till now I basically only can quilt from right to left and from top to bottom. Might try your method. On the other side: I quilt without a frame so turning the quilt around is no bis thing. Your railway motive is great! Have a great day and happy quilting :)
