I started quilting in the 1970 when I was a young woman. I did not know anyone who quilted and information was a little difficult to find. The first pieced quilt I made was a fully hand stitched Grandmothers Flower Garden (not EPP), lots of y seams.

Can you use a TOWA with magnaglide prewounds? I seem to get inconsistent results with the TOWA when checking those.

Trying to find help with thread fraying/shredding. It happens with rulers, as well with free motion going right to left.

Okay, so 170 Towa tension is looser, right? I was told that it should be around 250, so now, I'm thinking that is too tight? i usually check by both Towa and drop..Yikes, now I don't know what to do! I have a sweet 16 that I have endless tension issues when quilting these types of quilts.
