I love the way they've injected bluesy chord progressions in the string section. It works so well with the overall funkiness of the brass section and the piece still struts its stuff with a strong R&B 'tude. Love it!

The Metropole Orkest conducted by Jules Buckley during the 2016 BBC Proms dedicated to Quincy Jones and his Music. Here the orchestra backs an incredibly grooving and soulful vocal group and there is a tenorsax solo by Leo Janssen.

For goodness' sake! These Brits and the Dutch orchestra (Metropole Orkest) do American music better than Americans can. I couldn't imagine anything this wonderful on a Grammys program. Sad but true. American performers are hiking up the wrong trail.

Good to pay dues to Tommy Laurence. His Just Once started the rout.Pity the singer didn't know the words and sang half in his own tongue, but it was an emotional performance and he got away with it.Then Stuff like that and Stomp had the audience swinging by the chandeliers. Then came Billie Jean. However truth to say, it was so good it would have received a rapturous reception at the Deaf Institute.
