People want to be victims so badly. Literally 90% of her grievances could have been solved by actually communicating and explaining what you're thinking. The worst that happens is he says no and you quit. This just comes off as a passive aggressive, drunken rambling. Working around the two of them must have been... well interesting to say the least lol.
Exactly. In practice if her claims are true (regarding pay), she is a victim in that sense maybe, BUT, personal accountability also still wasn’t taken. Which does matter. It’s a two-way street for communication, and she is not looking at the bigger picture or chooses not to. She’s got that external locus of control mindset it seems, and that can enable a victimization complex.
What is worse is that she only brought up the pay issue AFTER she was rejected by him so at that point it came off more like a threat than it did an actual issue. It also made it super clear why she kept choosing to overwork herself when the actual deadline for the editing work was flexible. She was trying just trying to impress him... so once rejected it was suddenly his fault that she had no time for friends and was working all the time. This is all from Quinton's video on the subject that I figured I'd add in over here since for some reason everyone over here either hates the guy or thinks hes creepy. So I doubt anyone over here would have watched the entire long video on the subject on his second channel

As an alcoholic myself, I can easily spot a bad drinker when I see them. Homegirl is a BAD drinker. Her issues are with her coping mechanism. Plain and simple. Either she internalizes her feelings and maintains a professional nature with the people she works with, or she stops drinking. She clearly cannot do both.
His rejection notes were extremely reasonable and one of the nicest ways to deny advances. Most guys are used to being made to look a fool lmao. She’s just made he didn’t jump on her bean.
I think his rejection notes may have been *too* nice. I don't see that Quinton said the equivalent of "I'm flattered you feel that way, but I don't want a relationship like that with you." I know that can be hard to say in the moment, especially if you care about the other person and don't want to hurt them. But anything less than a hard but kind "no" seems likely to prolong the frustration both sides ultimately feel.
I hate it when people take on way more responsibility than needed, and then get bitter when they don't get the recognition they feel is deserved. Also, she seems pretty intoxicated here. That might be her second bottle lol
As much as I don't like Quinton Reviews I have to agree with Tom on this. This whole take down drama is probably the dumbest and most pathetic thing I've seen today. The only valid point she has in this whole video is that he's using Discord as a personal therapist, yes that's cringe and wrong. But him not having a buddy buddy relationship with you when he's hired you to work as an editor for a video is 100% professional and ok, if you have a problem with him not being your friend personally, that's your problem. Also to say he's slow at getting you material is not your decision. This is his channel, not yours. He can take as much time as he wants to get material to you.

the hilarious thing tho is if he did try to enter into a romantic relationship and things didnt work out, she would 10000% be making the same video but this time he would be abusing power dynamics and made her feel pressured to get into a relationship because he's her boss. he treated their work relationship perfectly to a T with how these people constantly say. and hes the bad guy? people like this need to be avoided at all cost. they are bad people who at even the smallest perceived slight are willing to lie about you to try to ruin your life so they can get even the smallest bit of sympathy, clout and revenge. i am glad people are finally discussing this. quinton has made many strives in his personal life to become a better person and now he's at the ultimatum, being faced with someone who's representative of his past self. i understand he can be cringe and goofy, but i mean it when i say this guy is one of the most stand-out youtubers in the video essayist community. he is very much an existentialist and i know he doesn't intend to come across like that, when his candid moments appear in videos where he's just. talking to the camera about life and his mental health in videos about nickelodeon sitcoms. idk, there's something just raw about that. i wish him the best in this journey. despite the fact that he looks about as serious as one could ever look like when discussing icarly. you'd think the dude was oppenheimer with the sorrow in his eyes.

I'm a Quinton fan, and I always liked your old video on him. It was pretty fair and a good history recap, I found him after all that drama. But it sucked he got stranded between communities, no one wanted him, and that's when he said fuck it and struck out on his own with the excessive deep dive lore videos I've come to love, and that's when he got his big break. I think that's an admirable story of self reliance and showing the haters they were wrong, classic stuff. And his videos are funny and engaging over long time stretches. This whole recent thing has just been sad, I hope he's doing well.
Quinton is an absolute douchebag, with how abrasive he has been in the past with anyone who doesn't believe everything he believes was embarrassing, and very telling of his "personality." Which was really just copy paste buzzfeed and Hassan nonsense

Quinton's sycophantic ode to Contrapoints is still one of the most pathetic things on the internet. He literally changed his whole outlook on life because someone went to the cheesecake factory with him. It was completely unhinged and creepy.
I know a guy who was like him. Constantly crying and seeking validation while at the same time never answering the phone when contacted about an event. Consistently flakey. Luckily he turned it around and is dating a nurse (not too good looking but very kind heart). Loneliness complex is a real goddamn thing.
he's one of those people we probably all know, or have known/met, that you can just tell are natural made simps. He is, and always will be a follower. He will never lead anybody. Everything he claims opinion over he attributes to somebody else, and anything he does he does in tribute to somebody he perceives as above himself. Honestly - Quinton handled this well. Even if I'm not a fan, the accusations are BS and I'm glad he made a good response. Hopefully he's reflected on his past behaviour. It mostly just came across as insecure, but it made others uncomfortable - I really do hope he understands that better now.
My mouth dropped open when you said Flowergothic is behind this. I used to watch Flowergothic a few years ago. She's totally different now from when I watched her. Her older videos (which she now privated) were usually happy material and exposing youtuber predators. She helped contribute to Onision's downfall by reading his books and getting access to his old accounts and reading his disgusting posts. She was super nice and sweet to commenters and her subscribers as well. Then her personality changed when she came out as lesbian and dated her (now ex) girlfriend. She had more of an attitude and her material started to become a bit more unhinged. She also made weird tribute videos of random people. She also drank and smoked a lot on her newer videos. Idk what changed her but its pretty sad to see her like this. I can see in her eyes that's NOT the same person I watched and interacted with in the comments. She sadly may be battling alcohol addiction, and her mental health may also be declining. I'm truly saddened she stooped this low

This woman reminds me of the people I worked with in restaurant industry who would start a job in a kitchen, request/demand as much overtime as possible, then constantly complain 2-3 months later that they are overworked and should be paid more because the restaurant “depends” on them. It’s reminiscent of 2010s RU-vid. A lot of tumblr girls of this caliber would have this “smug” behavior usually by drinking coffee or tea and sometimes wine. The drink thing: She's friends with SarahZ. The drink thing is a pretty improtant part of Sarah's "cozy" style (and also a part of Lindsay Ellis' style). This other creator seems to have a lot of identity issues, which includes awkwardly incorporating elements of other people's content.

What sucks is that this is actually a somewhat common thing for people to do. I've seen it many times, experienced a very similar thing first hand, and even somewhat partaken in it unconsciously I think. The fact is this: if someone says they like you and you reject them and keep being friends, something bad is bound to happen down the line almost 100% of the time. I consider myself to be a person with a lot of self control, but there's just something about the way those feelings can fester sometimes that I can't explain.

If you think that Quinton is weird and stupid, you should definitely do a video on Movie Bob. While Quinton is weird, creepy, and annoying, Movie Bob is also weird, creepy, and annoying, but has an extra layer of loser and stupidity that truly makes him one of the quintessential lol cows of RU-vid. He’s basically the more extreme version of Quinton and very interesting along with that.

MovieBob has always struck me as a socially awkward dude who takes himself way too seriously and tries way too hard to seem smart. He would instantly become more likeable and respected in my opinion if he just relaxed and embraced his own cringe a little bit more.
The funniest thing is her complaining about not getting enough money then showing an instance where she actually asked for more and got it. She uh...didn't think to try that earlier? Yeah, no shit an employer isn't going to pay you more unless you ask. Regardless of how you feel about him as a person, at the end of the day his channel is a business. Quinton essentially single-handedly saved the Garfield archives so I might be biased, but I genuinely think he’s a good guy with real talent in narration. He’s dedicated and creative and all in all, seems a decent human being trying his best.

Here's a very important thing my dad said to me once: You cannot get paid for the time you spend on something. If I make a door, it's going to take me 7 days and be a shitty door, a professional door maker is going to finish the job ten times better in a single day. I should NOT get paid more because it took me longer.
Getting a gf isn’t hard once you get out of your head and just gain a little confidence.
