JV league vs grown up NFL type of competition. Arnold played tough against most receivers who actually were drafted ahead of him, some in top 10. Arnold was consensus 11th or 12th pick. Luckily landed this down for Lions to grab him!! 50 QB rating against him at NFL level competition against the QBs taken in top 10!!! Essentially a gift to Lions, the most complete team in NFL!!

Both are great picks. We are really like spliting hairs when it comes to who's better. Both guys will be great to elite CB's at the next level. Mitchel is a perfect scheme fit for the Eagles at 22. The fact that the Eagles got him without having to move up and keeping both of their 2nd rd picks is just a huge win. With that said, Arnold would have been a great pick for them as well. Only time will tell who becomes the better CB with their new teams, both are day 1 starters. With all of the offensive picks going early, both guys are absolutely unbelievable quality picks at the spot they were picked, you couldn't go wrong with either guy.

@@luket8519 My man less than 1 ypc & 3 more TDs isn’t a wide/large margin. Esp considering the difference in teams. Also, Tyler Allgeier had 4 more carries than Gibbs. Bijan’s in a similar situation splitting carries with another RB. However, Gibbs is like young Alvin Kamara, he’s supposed to split carries. Whereas Bijan’s like your traditional bellcow back that can also be used heavily in the passing game but the closer to 300 carries the better. It’s more of a difference in preference.

Quinyon Mitchell is CB1. Arnold is too slow to one on one WR1 in the league & I have him around CB4 or 5. Theres a reason Alabama didnt play tons of man… He’d be an excellent nickel or a solid CB2. Mitchell is going to be a full blown lock down corner. If you’re looking for safe pick kool aid is probably the highest floor outside Mitchell whose ceiling it’s the stratosphere.

@@stephensdygert7600 Alabama had trouble with Texas in the pass game. Let me know when you figure out why. I like Arnold but Mitchell is faster, longer, stronger, bigger etc. these facts aren’t debated. Arnold has elite hips you just can’t leave him alone on the outside against speed cause he can’t physically run fast enough in straight line. Like I said arnold could be a top 3 inside guy in the league his hips are that good. I would have been really happy with him as well. But Arnold’s competition can’t up his metrics. If going up against lamb or hill or an Aj brown type you’d rather have Arnold? Make sense.

Mitchell is better for Zone schemes and Arnold is better for Man schemes. I feel like Mitchell opens his hips too early which is gonna get him roasted against good WR's in the league. Arnold overall is a better prospect now. Mitchell has a high ceiling but he has to reach that ceiling and how long will that take in the NFL?
@Obie_24
@Obie_24 2 месяца назад
@@rawsportz4923It’s the other way around. Michell has some technical things to clean up but he has the better traits for Man coverage. Plus coaching at Toledo vs NFL coaching big difference. However, with Arnold there’s a reason why Saban used him more in Zone than with guys like Diggs or Surtain. Saban is rarely wrong about these things. If he didn’t see him as a Man corner that’s all you need to know really. Bc Saban’s one of the greatest secondary coaches & talent evaluators at the position of all time. So the coaching Arnold received at Bama will prob be better than the Lions.

All me crazy, Quinyon Mitchell is no where near the top of the corner class. When I watch his film, all his interceptions are gimmes. He’s no where near as physical Arnold is and a more secure tackler. Also, Arnold had ro play against top QBs in the league
@24hoursports
@24hoursports 2 месяца назад
I think you make some good points. Both me and you seem to be seeing eye to eye on Arnold’s talent as I view him as my top DB (he’s more of my flavor). However, I think that Quinyon Mitchell is right there as well for different reasons. His combination of athleticism and size alone check many boxes that most can’t check. Then you combine what you see on film along with the coverage reps we saw at the senior bowl against top competition and you leave those two things checking even more boxes. It’s a fair assessment that he didn’t play the caliber of talent that Arnold did, but I think that isn’t the end all be all in my opinion. He’s definitely not the tackler that Arnold is but I think he’s very sound in coverage and with NFL coaching I believe that if you look at where his game is now and project it with the refinements that we will see at the next level that Mitchell is a #1 CB on somebody’s team.

It shows how little you know when you don't mention Alamaba Kool-Aid McKinstry. Yes Arnol is good but the reason is, that no team tries to pass on Kool-Aid McKinstry's direction he is a real shutdown corner in this class

The Raiders need a CB at 13 no?

Definitely in the realm of possibility, especially with the Christian Wilkins signing. I think QB is still a real possibility.. I’d be interested to see how they approach it with Minshew there but other than that I think OT or CB is the play for LV

Mitchell really didn’t play anyone. He did well in the senior bowl etc. but I think he will be absolutely exposed before settling in the NFL.

Terrion Arnold is trash. He only runs a 4.50. What WRs will he cover?

Quinyan is overrated. Hasn't played against top competition and never played man at Toledo.

He Can’t control who he played against, but he dominated at the level that he did though. Off man coverage was a majority of what he ran in Toledo’s system

Successful NFL players come out of smaller programs all the time. It can also be looked at as a positive that he didn’t transfer. Loyalty.

@@dj7973 Maybe overrated was a bit harsh. He has NFL talent. A corner needs to cover and he hasn't done it. I don't think you can learn to cover receivers at this level. He wasn't asked to do it, not his fault. I think he comes with a lot of risk and needs to be drafted into the right situation. If he gets drafted in a man scheme, he will struggle. He has speed and tackles well. Safety might be in future.

These guys are overrated. I see no Jalen Ramsey, Pat Peterson, Rodgers-Cromartie type talents in these guys. I’d say get a Max Melton, Nate Wiggins, or Khyree Jackson in later rounds. Don’t get me wrong their good players but not elite!
