Tbf its a risk and reward thing you see like 5 college drop outs become billionaires and you forget to see how many are homeless drug addicts you need tallent drive and luck to succeed in most areas and sometimes talented skilled people just don't find what drives them at school meanwhile you got people wasting good money on masters degrees just to go work at Starbucks
So true! Alas, it's even more true than it used to be, with so many colleges leaning on liberal arts degrees over here. The real thing that makes someone successful isn't a college degree, it's DRIVE.
You hire americans to design guns because they are made by people like this. In most of the world, gun designers are government contractors, given a list of specifications and a salary to make a gun... but like this, with these attributes... they are not DESIGNING so much as engineering a thing that someone told them to make. Americans... well, see Brandon. He just decided to make an AK that could fire a .50 cal anti-material shell. It does not matter that is a ridiculous idea... he wanted one, just for himself. And he made it. Maxim, a century ago, looked at the then VERY advanced rifle bullets in their brass cases and said "I wonder how fast you can fire those"... and every major US gun designer starts like that. It is why the US makes some STUPID weapons. But also, some stupidly overpowered ones.
It took a russian to invent the AK. It took an american to chamber it in 50 BMG. And yes, the sound is magnificent. I want to say it's the lovechild of a big cat's roar and stone shattering.
Something interesting, i got into Quissath's content a long time ago, and like maybe 1-2 months ago i figured out i was trans, then figured out so is quiss, and idk why but that made me super happy
