Can you please tell me what I can do to get better coverage from the paint? I have a very detailed dainty stencil and I can't be going over it again and again with many coats because I'm using it on a huge area and it would take me a million years. Is there anything I can do to thicken the paint so I can get full coverage in one coat? Thank you very much
@@StudioR12Stencils Thank you for responding I'm using Raw Sienna over a black surface! I put aside the craft paint and purchased actual wall paint then added some tint I also purchased from paint store but cant tell if it helped the opacity. Do you think some whiting powder could help? Or maybe something entirely different? Thanks you again!!
If you use a light brown through your stencil first, then use the raw sienna, that may work. You may still have to use 2 coats of the brown and at least 1 coat of the raw sienna. Painting any color over the black will typically take multiple coats to get the color to show and pop. We would recommend the light brown over a white as your undercoat. White may change the color you're looking for with the raw sienna. But house paint will definitely cover more than craft paint.
