No because your arrow will never bury to the fletchings and the wire won’t scratch grooves either on shaft. I built it little deep but target like this a 10”-12” deep/thick is plenty. Good luck!
I’m building this if I can find enough stuff to fill it! What dimensions did you use and is there any issues with chicken wire breaking from shots or getting weak over time? What you use to tune your broadheads?
Sorry for the late response. The face is 45" wide, height is 33", the depth is 20". It was 48" tall but I thought it was too tall and little top heavy. So I cut it down to 33" tall. As far as stuffing you might be able to go to a hosiery mill and get sock waste or fabric waste. They give the stuff away. Good luck!
