Located west of the San Rafael Swell, where the North Fork of Quitchupah Creek merges with Quitchupah Creek, lies a remarkable rock art site. Nestled in a sunlit open valley, this site bears witness to the passage of numerous cultures, evident in the diverse styles ranging from Barrier Canyon, Fremont, Archaic, to Anasazi art. Visiting on a balmy spring day, one can easily discern why this location served as a hub between the elevated highlands and the harsher desert landscapes to the east. The panels exhibit a fusion of cultures and a rich array of pictographs and petroglyphs. Regrettably, a few panels have fallen victim to modern vandalism, yet the overall integrity of the site remains largely unblemished. #petroglyphs #rockart #petroglyph #nativeamerican #pictographs #nature #art #travel #utah #archaeology #prehistoricrockart #wanderlust #ancient #desert #hiking #emerycountyutah #videography #utahphotographer #photographer #photography #sanpetetrailhunter #utphotographer #history #videographer #roadtrip #hike #offroad #backcountry #camping #campinglife #sanpetetrailhunter #utvideographer #utahvideographer #utahcinematographer
