I left after 3 weeks. I knew week 2..This was not the fit. I was upfront and honest...and they were beyond rude. My thought..do they give a notice if they lay you off or have to let ypu go? No

I quit after 2 and half days at work. I knew on day 1 that it was a bad fit, so I thought of a good alibi to not offend the manager. I already knew most of my officemates, but in the end it didn't matter.

I am in the same situation. I joined a decent tech company with 25% hike 1 month ago. I was happy when I got the offer. But I regret for joining as I was moved to work under a control-freak boss. I am leaving now.

Its a great market out there right now for programmers. I have been coding for 30 years and get a call a day from a recruiter.

@@Meritumas Yes it does, thats why in an interview, you need to properly interview them as well. Here is a tip be weary of someone who flash hires you after one short interview.

Hey sonmez...I love your content, I actually listen to your podcasts more. I read the Software Developers Guide and it was a blast... Although I wasn't coding when I read it. I want to be a programmer, not mainly to get a job... Like skills like computational thinking, problem solving and ability to master different languages.... And maybe solve various world problems with tech in the near future... But my aim is not primarily to get a job. How do you suggest learning programming for me? 🥺... Thank you 😊 ❤️

My employer was totally understanding and let me do a 2 weeks notice, I do regret not having another job lined up but if I don't leave I'll end up walking out it took me forever to find this job but it's honestly not working out.

What if i told you that i was looking for a job in another city for 5 years , and the day i landed there it was a Big Misfit for me, now i m looking to go back to my city

The problem is a new job where I am can see your employment history because they access your revenue data for payroll and tax purposes. If you dont mention it they will see it anyway. And so will your next job. And that's before you start.

gaps arent a problem if you can show you did something meaningful in them. Even big gaps. Just dont come across as if you sat in front of daytime TV for months or years.. and from my experience its all good

my project manager is quitting after 2 months, he told me he's not putting it in the resume, he said it's up to the candidate to decide which one to put and remove in the cv based on the credentials, and I totally agree.
